A couple lesser-known benefits you didn’t touch on. The card has a hidden trade line. This means the balance doesn’t show and doesn’t affect credit score. In fact, Experian doesn’t even show having the card. There are no cash advance fees, so no need to carry a bank card when traveling. The credit line is flexible; you can go over as long as you pay it in full. They need to add the benefit of letting JPM skip the Sapphire lounge lines like Amex does for Centurion.
Idk what you're talking about. I show the same rate for purchase APR as Cash Advance APR for my JPMR on the chase app right now. I don't have the agreement anymore so don't know if there is a fee but cash advances typically compound daily so you'd need to pay off the balance immediately online. @@jokerwonga if the platinum comes with Delta Sky Club it isn’t so far fetched to think the CSR should come with it. Even if the AF is close to the platinum I’d be fine paying that for United Club access
@@linkzinvest Can guarantee that they won't. Even if we cut the face value of $650 in half, that'd still be a $325 benefit they'd be adding to the CSR, a product that Chase Bank struggled for years to make profitable. If they ever did, it would become a perk on the "even higher tier" $1-1.5k annual fee card that gets rumored every few months.
I carry the JPM card and the AMEX Platinum. They are the only two cards I need and I accumulate tons of points for travel every year. If you want a Centurion card for “status”, be aware that you only get 1 point per dollar spent for air travel. The Platinum card is much more generous (5 points per $1) and the JPM card is great for restaurants (3 pts / $1) and for booking travel, cashing in $1.5 per point to pay for airfare.
💎Looks like JP Morgan switched their card blanks. The older JPMorgan card and the original Palladium card both weighed 28-29 grams. Not saying that your scale is a little off, but the old Ritz Carlton card weighed 2 grams less than the Palladium. Besides the credit card not showing up on credit reports, a cardholder can charge up to three times the "credit limit" with the minimum being set at $50k. They used to have a dedicated concierge line--it has been mixed into the "Executive line." Anyway, great video as always Sebby! I'm a total fan. :)
Yep when Amex switched the centurion to a regular card they said that the thicker cards, like the Ritz and Palladium use to get stuck inside ATM machines? 🤷
This is the 4th version of the metal card. It’s also the best, unless you care about weight, which most people don’t. The concierge is still a separate number from the executive service line. The concierge is worlds better than Amex Platinum.
@@Cajun-x3x Thanks Cajun! I guess I hardly ever use their concierge service anymore. When this card changed its identity from the Palladium card back in 2016, the concierge line changed and became the JPMR/Infinite Concierge line. @@Castellan_Chris I don't know about the metal cards getting stuck in ATM machines--never found the need to use it in that manner. The card used to set off the metal detectors, so Chase used to give a non-distinctive purple plastic version of the card specifically to go in "incognito mode."
