- The Ultimate Defender has a strong asymmetrical core with a dull surfaced HK22 A.C.T. 3.0 Hybrid coverstock. This is one of the easier to control balls in the line that won't overreact when the lanes are fresh! Let's see how it does on the lanes from all angles!

With the help of SPECTO data, it'll help tell the story about reaction shape, overall hook and continuation through the pins. Here are the SPECTO data points used and definition of each term:
Launch Speed - Speed measured off the hand.
Entry Speed - Speed measured at the pins. (What you'd see on your home center MPH screens)
Rev Rate - Revolutions Per Minute (RPM)
Launch Angle - The angle the ball traveled the first 10 feet.
Break Point Position - Board at which the ball was at its outermost position.
Total Hook - Total number of boards the ball crosses on the way to the pins.
Hook Power - Number of boards the ball hooked based on the True Breakpoint.
Entry Angle - The angle of the ball between 51 and 55 feet.
Impact Angle - The angle of the ball between 57 and 59.5 feet.
Pin Deck Exit - Ball position at the end of the pin deck.

Lane #1 Pink Panther was a cult classic for pink balls.
pink hammer back in the day was crazy popular, but the most successful pink ball has to be the idol solid.

I'm not personally a fan of pink and purple, but i love the way the ball rolls down lane. A nice smooth arch, with a slight strong, back lane grab.
Pink has just never been my color, never have had anything to do with pink even tho i had an opportunity at a BW pink urethane I didn’t jump at the chance for it, that being said i always love watching these videos to see what Brunswick is trying to do this time in terms of what ball motion they’re trying to achieve and I’m certain this ball will be amazing for some and ify for others but like you said not every ball needs to be amazing from everywhere, sometimes you need that one that just shines in the one area incase that’s just where you need to play!

Visionary Warlock DC Solid was my pink ball from the past. Flared almost the entire ball and was really good at USBC Tournament.

I have the solid version and it sits in my bag. I always have it if I need to rotate it in if other balls aren't working. But, your 10 pin comment is exactly what I've been doing mid season on and its improved my game! Great advice!

Original Defender Hybrid is my favorite ball. Shot my 1st-4th 300s with it in 6 weeks. This ball is basically exactly the same as the original hybrid with a different box finish. I have been surfacing the original with 500/2000 since I got it. Was hoping for an HK22 Pearl version. Great video as always!

@@brunsnick 🤞🏼 when they retired the original and everyone dropped their prices I snagged 5 of them because this ball is money for me. It is an amazing piece for sure and hopefully this one gets the attention it deserves because the first release was overlooked by everyone!

Big fan of the Defender Hybrid, a ball I came across on accident and was somewhat on par with the 2.0Hy. But as of now Pure Madness is too of my next ball list

UD is sharper off the spot compared to the Hitter. Overall hook is probably pretty close.

Hey there, Brunsnick, I've got the first Defender, a Infinity, a Prism Hybrid, the Mastermind Genius, a Vintage Phantom, Twisted Fury Solid, and a Inferno Blue Flame in my Brunswick arsenal, I absolutely love them, I've got a Flame viz-a-ball as my spare ball, too. That Ulitmate Defender, the colors aren't that good on it, I never liked pink, it's an ugly color. Do you think I should pick this ball up? I was thinking about getting a Mindset, the Teal Rhino Pro, and a Perfect Mindset in add to my aresenal, too.
I mean if you don’t like the color, then I would pass. Plenty of other options out there for you.
My Fav Pink ball from DV8 was The Diva Divine

I throw a Roto Grip Hyped Hybrid. Love the reaction the I get from it.
My hyped hybrid is really angular and creates great shape but I can be the 9 pin king with it at times.
The best ball I ever threw was the DV8 Diva Divine, and it was pink and purple with white logos. I had a couple of 300s with it, plus probably 10 other games with 10+ strikes. So yes, pink balls can roll and look good.
Nice! Divas were great! My favorite was the original Pearl.
Lane 1 Pink Raspberry Buzzsaw was an awesome benchmark ball for me.

I’m confused…is the Ultimate Defender basically a repeat release of the Defender Hybrid with a different box finish? Same cover, same core…is the cover a different solid to pearl ratio?
Basically the same, different box surface. Fit the performance chart with this set up

I would feel very comfortable playing that line with this ball to start. Held nice and hooked plenty to get through the pins.

No not really. Pick a color you like and go. 👍🏻
This vs the dv8 xlr8 for speed dominant players?
XLR8 probably a bit more aggressive early, better for heaviest of oil.
Does the Hammer 3D Offset count as a pink ball?

Would you say this cover is weaker or stronger than the evolution covers on the Quantum Evo line?
Earlier reading compared to EVO Pearl, in the same range as the Hybrid.

What's really the difference between both, both defenders had hk22 and both have act 3.0 hybrid. The only difference on paper is box finish

BrunsNick must have smaller hands, my widow is laid out the same as that ball n his pin looks a mile away from his fingers. my MB is placed almost in my thumb hole just like that ball. Whats up with the finger holes, is he missing part of his finger? I'm missing part of one of mine on my off hand

Stronger and earlier for me. Infinity is a bit cleaner and a touch more on the back.
