  • We took a lagoon tour around Tahiti with no idea how much wildlife is in this little area between Tahiti and Moorea. We saw a sea turtle, a ton of dolphins, a stingray, a spotted eagle ray and had amazing overwater views of a shipwreck and a plane wreck! We then saw the capital, Papeete from the marina and took a short walk around the town. We were thrilled with all of the wildlife we were able to see on this boat trip. Thanks to Benoit, our captain, we had a fabulous time and cannot recommend him more!

    This was such a cool experience! You saw so many dolphins. And shipwrecks are always fascinating too. Papeete looks like a lovely city to explore. Thanks for taking us along!

      I was surprised at how much wildlife we saw and was just a little excited over the dolphins. We mainly went to Papeete for shopping but it's such a nice city. Thanks so much for watching!

    Finally it was a good decision to do a boat ride with the guide . The beautiful wild life all around you must of been so much fun to see …love the dolphins 🐬. Great to see some surfers from the boat and they seemed pretty good to.
    I love boat tour but not Hélène she gets sea sick very fast . Nice tour on the boat and in the city of Papeete.
    Didn’t know that Marlo Brando had a island there before.
    Have a great week my friend

      This was the guide who was impressed with my accent when I said 'Merci". He was such a nice guy! The wildlife was fantastic and those surfers were amazing! Those were huge waves and they are fearless! Marlon Brando filmed Mutiny on the Bounty in Tahiti and fell in love with it and married a Tahitian woman. I see why he fell in the love with the island. I did too. Thank you so much for watching! Have a great week!

      @@TravelswithVandSteve I do remember the title of that film but it’s far in my memory. So he was the guide loving your accent 😉

      @@SergeCousineau I'm glad I only said Merci! More than that and he'd be upset that my French was so poor!! ha ha

    Wow! how lucky were you to see the Dolphins. We've just returned from North Devon and did a Dolphin sight seeing cruise from Ilfracombe but were not so lucky 😟. Thanks for sharing.

    My biggest question is can you live / survive / get along in Tahiti only knowing French and English...?

    • @TravelswithVandSteve
      @TravelswithVandSteve  2 роки тому +1

      Yes, everyone speaks French and many speak English. I only speak very limited French and they are very nice to help figure out what you are saying or asking, so you will have no problems.
