just bought 9.9 new(2350) done 20run in garden barrel , send away ecu for remapping for 20hp 170€+postage engine will go on 4.20 sib engine very impressed me so easy start do not need battery and starter...
Where you send the ecu..
I bought one but I've got the 15hp still her
@sib fishing adventures UK I am from Lithuania and we have company "Laivynas" they do all boat work engine repair ecu programming , so yes I send away to Lithuania I am sure must be some in uk who able to do programming otherwise new ecu 400ish
Hi i have spoken to a few shops that have sold the Suzuki outboards and they all said the same thing, great technical engine but they have never had as many problems with an outboard as these, constantly in the workshop getting fixed, thats why i may go the Tohatsu route when i buy mine.
A few years ago I bought a Yamaha 6 HP, which was recommended to me by the seller in the store. I am looking for a new one and I will choose a Yamaha 15 hp or 20 hp again because it has the option of regulating the engine speed during trolling. about Yamaha I haven't found any negative opinions, but about Suzuki the opinion is divided...
Nice walk around. That's for sharing.
Just brought the 3.95 with alli duck with a brand new suzuki 15hp not yet put it in the water , layer up with a bad back ,can't wait to get it wet
Let me know how it goes .. I'm thinking of adding the 3.95 too
Always good to see other people's setup 👍 there's a rundown of my rig on my channel. Have subscribed, look forward to further vids.
Hi nice set up, I like the harness idea 👍. I have the Suzuki 9.9 but it is a carburetor version it's plenty for my boat but I wonder if the upgrade is any different to EFI? Look forward to more video's I've subscribed
to your channel👍.
The learn burn is efi model which is why is so easy to upgrade .
@@carlossilva-bt7ks Hiya Carlos .. unfortunately no that particular upgrade is for the efi model only. I'm sure the 9.9 carb version has the same engine displacement has the 8hp carb version which would mean your pretty much on the limit of what the engine capable of.. don't take my word for it but worth checking against the 8hp ..
Roughly how long is the rope you use for connecting your anchor to and using for your drag harness.....thats a genius idea 💡 👏
Hiya bud it's 4m Ideal
@@sibfishingadventuresuk1558 thank you kindly 🙏
I like your anchor brace idea. How do you do it in simple terms? Thank you
Simple terms .. 4-5m rope attach to each tow ring and put the middle through the handle
The same upgrade but with Yamaha I know it's just a case of changing the reed valve and taking out the restrictor plate on accelerator advance... jj
Depending on the hp usually under 6hp yea It can be restrictor plates , but when you get to 8 , 9.9,15hp it's exhaust reeds carb rebuild.
Great idea for mounting the transducer. Do you have any vids or pics of how you set it up.
Yea I'll sort it on the next video
Hi Did your 360 have the airdeck or the ali .Which one would you recommend.
I had the 360 air deck and the 330 .. 330 performance was better with the 15hp
Lovely set up how does the excel Volante handle seeing some really bad posts on Facebook saying they are very flat and don’t handle very well
The 330 and 360 I had (non carbon) was absolutely perfect, the 390 was probably to big for a none fixed floor air deck and probably lacking a few support boards if you ask me .. yes they are a bit flat which do hinder it's performance, what we are seeing online atm
Hi mate thanks for the video. I'm looking at the Volante 330 or 360 myself, and a 43kg Tohatsu 15hp.
You mentioned you had a 360.before hand. Did you purposely switch to the 330 due to weight issues? Keen to hear your thoughts and the feasibility of pulling these up a slip way. I'm thinking a separate engine trolley may be a good idea. Thanks buddy
Hi bud .. yea I had the 360 now have the 390😱.. tbh none of them are easy the 330 is a lovely light set up but just slightly to small for me, the 360 is probably the best of the bunch but gets heavy but still manageable ( on the limit of one man manageable ) tohatsu Suzuki efi same dry weight so if your considering a trolley then I'd definitely go 360
@@sibfishingadventuresuk1558 the only other problem at this point is the need for me to get it up on the roof rack. I'm guessing you stuck it in the back of the van?
Im used to getting a big heavy awkward kayak on the roof but there's technique to it standing it up on its end. I guess a bit deflated sack is more awkward
Yea I had the Prowler 4.7 that was a lump .. but I do have a van now but the 360 went in the roof of an astra/ Vectra , split the boat into two bags
Hi again mate, on the 360 version would you recommend the 25mm or 35mm transom wheels supplied by Excel?
Definitely the 350 the 360 is still an heavy bit of kit the bigger wheels will help make it a little easier
@@sibfishingadventuresuk1558 went with the same wheels as you mate. Still happy with them i hope?
any if new
its is easy to pull the boat fully loaded like that by yourself ?
Hi .. the 330 isn't to bad tbh, but by all means not easy if rocky, soft sand or steep slipways. Definitely manageable
Do these 330's take a short or long shaft engine?
Short shaft
Yea short shaft mostly all sibs are short Shaft
