I vote yes for Wizard tower Phantom farm, and maybe you could have it so that when you're not using it there's a nice roof over the top, but when you want to use it you can use a hand crank or something to swing/fold the roof out of the way either by flipping it over the side, or by rotating it 180 degrees horizontally at one of the corners, or use a really long mechanical piston to lift it high enough that the farm works, though that option might be difficult
Excellent flume, o bearded one. One suggestion to add verisimilitude: on the climby bits, remove the standard rail, put the phantom rail back, and put belts on top powered by visible waterwheels. It'll add visual interest and make more sense since the bottom of the log doesn't touch the tracks, and water rides are usually lifted on belts. Keep up the good work!
I actually had to stop this video cause I looked over when he said that and was like wait...... Screen shot. You Sir were incorrect mr. Beardstone. There is Melon in the Inventory.
17:55 Hey Beardy! Phantom rail can turn tighet corners because it takes on the properties of the narrow gauge rail, if my memory serves me (which it probably doesnt) im actually pretty sure that phantom rail can also connect to narrow guage rail (despite being clearly textured as standard rail). This might help with the overall look of the ride. Also whilst im no Log Flume conoseur i think it could look cool if the logs had 2 bogeys, one of which was invisible (maybe at the back) and the other at the front that actually had wheels. that could make it look like a rollercoaster that hooks onto the track in the slopes and then disengages from the track in the other bits, plus hacing 2 bogeys would make the logs look better when going around corners. Just an idea though otherwise love the video!
You could name it Prospector’s Joyride, since the ride itself takes place in what I can only assume to be a mineshaft-like area, a mountain, and spruce scenery. Inspiration comes from the many mines started in Colorado in attempts to find gold.
That's going to be a yes to the wizard's tower, Beardy. As for the log flume, the route looks great, and I can't wait to see how you're going to theme and landscape it, but I do have one suggestion. Lose the nice seats and replace it with the simple ones. I have yet to see a log flume with armchairs. 😂
Put the phantom farm/Wizard tower on the short end of the mountain. Fills up the space and the “wizard” can easily use the forest for herbs and plants. Also, put a slightly raised platform by the lake for guests to be soaked. The path leading toward the back of the mountain
The wizard tower/phantom farm is such a great idea ! It'll be so cool to see from afar in the middle of the forest... very fantastical and eye catching.
Honestly wizard tower sounds cool especially for a phantom farm, and it becomes easier when you take into account you could just place the pocket phantom farm down permanently in a specific spot and then build a wizard tower around it. Also I think you could use four less temporary blocks when moving it by using slabs in the spots with the water since you're able to water log slabs.
Just a piece of hopefully constructive criticism, real log flumes use conveyors to pull ride vehicles (also yeah the catch-all term for stuff like that is "ride vehicle") upwards, so I, personally, would still use phantom rails on the rises and then place conveyor belts at water level, so it looks like the log is being placed on a belt by the water, then being pulled up by the belt, and then being dropped back into the water at the top by the belt. Edit: wanted to also say the ride layout looks amazing and it's coming together well, I always get excited when I see new videos in this series! Just added this cause I didn't want my comment being purely complaintative!
The feeding upgrade is everything, it was like the first one I used with the crafting table - took me a while to realise I could block rotten flesh when I was out of other food
Definitely a wizard tower would be amazing and not only that, in keeping with the "farms as rides" you could potentially do it as a drop tower ala the old Tower of Terror
Water flumes in real life just put the log on a lift hill and raise it without any water being present, and then the log re-enters the water at the top. I think you should have done that instead of making the uphill sections on your log flume so complicated, plus making the ride a bit more realistic never causes any harm :D
A big attraction to Log Flumes is the onlookers being able to get wet when it comes down the big drop, so maybe adding in a place for the visitors to be able to stand and get soaked? This drop will create a massive splash, so keep that in mind too if you’re looking for more realism (a building in the way of the water will eventually cause damage to the building, hence why the drops on log flumes usually are farther back from the walkways so that most of the water’s momentum is diminished.
Two ideas for you, big guy. 1) I do like the idea of a wizard tower for the phantom farm, but I don’t really see phantoms and think of them as something magical - I think of them as something scarier. I think it would be awesome to have the phantom farm be at the top of a massive haunted castle; the kind of looming castle off on the horizon where you’d see a vampire residing, or a mad scientist working on scientific monstrosities, or even a party of happy haunts playing pranks on visitors. Plus, with Halloween on the horizon, a haunted castle could be a perfect idea to incorporate a dark ride into your park. 2) I’m not really sure what you have planned for that mountain part of the log flume ride. But if you’re going into a big mountain like that, I’d love to see a bunch of people mining away at precious ores and gemstones - like when we first meet the dwarves in the Disney “Snow White” film. Plus, that could serve as a fun cover-up for hiding away your future iron and gold farms!
Thank you so much for showing your whole process. With the failure, the reconsideration, the new plan. In the days of content creation, as we all struggle to keep going, it's easy to feel lonely and demotivated by how successful others can be. It was really nice to see you struggling and the decisions you took to take you out of the struggle. Pause, regroup, think, seek advice : all those are very good advice and it felt very inspiring so thank you so much. When you do have the time for, a wizard tower would look nice 😊
I love the Wizard Tower idea!! Maybe build it as a drop tower ride? Maybe a story along the lines of an Evil Wizard drawing you into his tower and then dropping you from the top of his tower?
I was hoping for something more haunted-castly for a phantom farm, but a wizard tower would work just as fine. Excellent work so far on this new ride, Beardy!
Some ideas for the log flume: - Build a small castle on the top of the mountain with small blocks to decieve the perspective for the visitors and make the mountain look bigger than it is. - On the end of the looooooooong drop - make the boat dip a little into the water to create a fake splash and a vision of more speed down the hill. - Use signals to split the ride into sections (with the first one being the longest) and then you'll have a smooth ride without having to mess around with schedulings!
For the part that moves the log up, you could switch it back to phantom rail and make a couple conveyor belts be rolling at around the right speed for it to look like it's being pulled up the conveyor, like a real log flume ride
DO IT! The wizard tower would look amazing and if you recorded the not-so-afk afk sessions to create a little Timelapse would be awesome Also, at 9 min, he says he has no melons…….he had five next to the beetroot…….silly Beardy you didn’t look long enough
Incredible episode again man. The mountain looks dope already (I saw it was connected to the sea floor, very proud!), and I can almost see the finished project! Fantastic work!
Definitely like the idea of a wizard tower with Phantoms flying around it. Maybe also Vexes or Allays if you can manage to incorporate them into the design? Would add a little more "texture" for lack of a better word.
2 ride ideas: You should also do a river raft ride. You can use conveyor belts to look like the belts that raise the raft up at the end of the ride as well. Just have them move slowly about the same speed as the raft. It would be good for some part of the park with ruins. You could also make an underground roller coaster themed after a dungeon, and with moving scenes and dangers using other trains and stuff on invisible rails. Maybe with a few jump, scares where riders think they’re about to fall into a terrible trap before the coaster drops down suddenly.
Phantom rails function as all three gauges of rail, so you can have invisible rail of any gauge, but there's only the one kind of phantom rail because you can't actually see it so it doesn't matter. That's why the phantom rail can turn such tight corners.
Where the river flows into the sawmill you could create a log jam so the log boat "has" to turn in. That way the river can continue to the far side and be the natural river the flume dumps into before cascading into the mountain. The entrance queue then can go over the log jammed river with a bridge. It then also gives you the name for the ride Log Jam Mountain.
I would just like to let you know, the fact that you do builds this cool at all is amazing, so don't be embarrassed about the time, be proud of the skill and dedication you have to give us such interesting content. Loving the park so far, cant wait to see it finished, was wondering, do you plan on putting it on a server or just world download.
It might be tricky to do but I think it could be cool if you put belts just a block over the rails where the ride goes upwards. That way the log isnt floating above the rail, but instead being lifted by the belt. This is in my experience how these rides sometimes work :) Great video as always!
If there’s one thing I’ve learned of from American geography, having giant mountains near the coast creates deserts in the midlands. Thanks to the Rocky Mountains it blocks the coastal humidity from reaching the midlands creating the Mojave desert.
I hope beardy continues the mountain range through the fantasy area and then makes a roller coaster where you go through a castle and then into a dragons lair to save a princess or something like that
I'm sure you have this planned, but just in case, hope you use belts for the uphill sections of the log flume, it'll cover the non-phantom rail bits and is how most log flume rides opperate rather than a traditional "chain-lift". Also some guard walls in the river portion to guide the log as if it wasn't on a track
Wizard tower as people are suggesting would look great. Could maybe add some grass and maybe some trees for maybe a natural tree farm now you’ve moved one. Keep up the good work
17:33 an alternative idea you could do Mr Beardstone is have conveyer belts for the up sections to make it look like the logs are being carried up and keep it in theme with the log mill you have
For the log plume's ascents, you could have some conveyor belts running at a speed equal to the log's, instead of visible track, that way you can use the phantom rail all throughout
Ahhh the feeding upgrade. The saviour we needed back in the good old days of Truly Bedrock twitch streams. The log flume is looking great. Would definitely ride and partially suffocate on.
I'd raise the water level up a block. Usually in these types of rides, the water is just on the edge of the log and this way, it won't look like it's lying ON the water but really IN the water. Great job though, keep it up
oh, you can do a Froger mini game/jumping puzzle with the logs on the river. Another clever way to fill space could be to use the blue prints from create, it stores simple recipes like turning log into plantks interacting with the blueprint, and it has a visual... thing, a creeper blew the words i was trying to use in that sentence
This episode was great! I'm looking forward to seeing the next one and what you'll be doing to the rest of the area :) Just an idea I've had since ur last episode... Maybe put a second log in the saw water channel section... That way one log can be going through the saw bit, while the other is floating along in the water... Similar to what you mentioned doing with the log flume. I think that would look great in that area (more than one log moving at a time) and would be cool for immersion and theme... Just an idea I thought I'd through out there :)
Instead of having normal track to lift the log flumes up it could be moving conveyer belts, use a water wheel on the outside that uses the water current going around the track to power it
The wizard tower would look great! 🤩 It's almost too bad that it would be too much to add on top of the mountain. Seems like a wizard tower would naturally belong up there but we need a more sensible wizard, I think. 😅 The ride is coming along well too. I kinda pictured some dwarves caught mining down there when you started digging down, with maybe some lichen on the walls behind them, lol. Don't mind me. 😂
I mean, if you're building a theme park, it seems like kind of a waste not to take advantage of the possibility of ghosty things flying around. You either need some sort of dread warlock tower or a haunted mansion of some kind.
Love the series. I'm a bit of a fan of yours and thoroughly enjoy your content. Hope the rest of the series goes well mr beardstone. Also, maybe it's just me, but it would be cool if you could number your episodes within the title. I find it hard to keep track sometimes and end up watching them in the wrong order lol.
Oh that's an idea. If you're going to make a phantom farm and wizards tower something, the wizard's tower could be the disguise for the phantom farm. -- If you do that, make sure it's a necromantic tower, 'cause undead, necromancy, creepy, etc. lol
>Be Beardstone >Building a phantom farm >Notice its getting late >Sleeps >Remebers hes building a phantom farm so sleeping is counterproductive Nice going Beardstone
its half 4 in the morning and I've been up all night to finish binge watching this series. Do I go to sleep now, or go back and watch the first series? ... First series it is then!
I feel like the mountain needs a snow top. And the last turn into the iffloading/loading area should have a small plung so the incoming riders see action. If only there were a way to make a splash.
You should build a Wild West district of the amusement park, like with mesas and saloons and a mine cart ride through some gold mines. I’m not sure what kind of farm you could build around it, but it would be very cool!
Although this isnt the area for it, the parks main piece should be a a volcano, which can be either of 2 things or both. A. The park signature Beardstone chocolate is not only made here but this volcano is a chocolate volcano with totally "real" molten chocolate rivers that seperate each section. B. The volcano being the main power distributer which hold in the center a large lava pit that is used to power a giant steam engine.
You should have some blue fireworks launch inside underground tunnels so that they explode near the surface of the lake just as the log comes down to look like the water spray.
For the lifts on the log flume you should switch to phantom rails and see if you can make it look like the logs are being lifted by conveyer belts like they do in the pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland.
Wizard tower would look amazing 🤌🤌
You are a wizard, Beardy!
it would add visual interest in the forest + could add a new mine underground so beardstone can mine when waiting for the phantom timer
Yes
Do it, do it, do it!
Agreed
I vote yes for Wizard tower Phantom farm, and maybe you could have it so that when you're not using it there's a nice roof over the top, but when you want to use it you can use a hand crank or something to swing/fold the roof out of the way either by flipping it over the side, or by rotating it 180 degrees horizontally at one of the corners, or use a really long mechanical piston to lift it high enough that the farm works, though that option might be difficult
Maybe make the roof observatory adjacent, big domes that slide around idk
Not seeing the melon in the food barrel :(
classic beardy
Who else but beardstone
Don’t see foxy doing that 😂
Lol always beardy not noticing stuff
(has five slices of melon) We have no melon!
Excellent idea!
It's nice that finally someone says this in the chat. It's been annoying me throughout the entire video😅
Was gonna say this as well!
I must say, I find this idea absolutely exquisite. Jolly good plan
Indeed
A dripstone cave opening in the mountain would look good
It would, but with chipped he can make dripstone stalagmites into practically any stone, which would allow him a lot of variations to test.
Looks at the top row, last column "Nope... no Melon...."
Yeah with his mouse right over top the water mel on...
I actually had to stop this video cause I looked over when he said that and was like wait...... Screen shot. You Sir were incorrect mr. Beardstone. There is Melon in the Inventory.
Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but you have the comfort mod which should have a hammock, and you can sleep day away on hammock.
17:55 Hey Beardy! Hope you enjoyed my problems today! haha - this ride is going to need a name... any ideas?? (We still have a loooong way to go but we'll get there!)
Phantom farm next epp 🎉🎉🎉
The "Beardwooded Harvesters"
“Crasher” should be the name
"The waterlogger"
Timber Tunnels
Put the phantom farm/Wizard tower on the short end of the mountain. Fills up the space and the “wizard” can easily use the forest for herbs and plants. Also, put a slightly raised platform by the lake for guests to be soaked. The path leading toward the back of the mountain
The wizard tower/phantom farm is such a great idea ! It'll be so cool to see from afar in the middle of the forest... very fantastical and eye catching.
You should name the ride 'The Flume Of Doom'

A wizard tower is cool, but a massive windmill might be cooler just to give the area a bit more life.
Maybe add a mineshaft in the mountain so the people riding the logflume can look outside for a moment. A wizzard tower would look awesome I think.
Oh yes, we all know the kind of log that floats along a river, then floats up a little over a rail to get up a slope. Just use a belt to do it
@@oPlazmaMC i was gonna suggest the same thing

There was a melon slice in the barrel 😂
*Insert fecapalm here* can't believe i missed that lol
Beardie!! You have to listen to me! You absolutely NEED to put a King Arthur sword in the anvil build in the Fantasy area
Hell yeah the big wizard tower / phantom farm would be amazing in the fantasy parts of the park !!! You need to build it !!! :)
A Wizard Tower or a Haunted Mansion for a Phantom Farm would be neat.

100% a wizard tower,. Maybe a fancy Watery themed Dripstone cavern inside the mountain like the ones people go Boating in 😮❤

A wizard tower would be awesome! A dark castle that's a mob farm could be cool too.
>Be Beardstone
>Building a phantom farm
>Notice its getting late
>Sleeps
>Remebers hes building a phantom farm so sleeping is counterproductive
Nice going Beardstone
Whenever the log flume has to travel up you should put in belts that make it look like it’s being pushed up makes it look more like a real log flume
its half 4 in the morning and I've been up all night to finish binge watching this series. Do I go to sleep now, or go back and watch the first series? ... First series it is then!
"I'm not going to tell you how long this is taking"... "it's three hours since the last clip"
Classic Beardy
I feel like the mountain needs a snow top. And the last turn into the iffloading/loading area should have a small plung so the incoming riders see action. If only there were a way to make a splash.
You could put the wizard tower on top of the mountain! Love the build!
You should build a Wild West district of the amusement park, like with mesas and saloons and a mine cart ride through some gold mines. I’m not sure what kind of farm you could build around it, but it would be very cool!
Yes wizard tower surrounded by phantoms. That would be amazing!
BIG WIZARD TOWER!!!
The melon in the barrel: "Am I a joke to you?" Lol always happens
Although this isnt the area for it, the parks main piece should be a a volcano, which can be either of 2 things or both.
A. The park signature Beardstone chocolate is not only made here but this volcano is a chocolate volcano with totally "real" molten chocolate rivers that seperate each section.
B. The volcano being the main power distributer which hold in the center a large lava pit that is used to power a giant steam engine.
18:47 That baby zombie looks dapper in that outfit.
If the phantom farm is only in the top of the wizard tower the rest of it could maybe function as a dropper ride, like tower of terror, just a thought
On the other side of the mountain you should make a pirate cove type area, and have one of those boats that rocks back and forth!
For the underground bit, you could also do mushroom farms / the nether "tree" farms.
