The fact that they prevented reviews from coming out until the game came out says all you need to know. They knew it would be reviewed terribly due to the technical issues, repetitive missions, boring enemies, badly written story, and many other issues, so they pushed the game out the door before people learned the truth. Deceiving people like this is the definition of a scam, and they should be ashamed of themselves.
That’s not always true. For this game it was obvious why but when Bethesda did it for doom that wasn’t the case.

But when a publisher prevents reviews for a game from being made before customers have bought it, then the game turns out to be a rancid pile of trash.. they probably knew what they were doing

@@ElectronicShredder How is CP2077 launch comparable to this? It run oke on pc and new consoles, though was broken on old ones i agree. It had bugs, lot of them, but in the end it had extremely well done core. It had amazing story and combat, just insane soundtrack and breathtaking voice acting/actors/characters. Ai was bad though, but MAIN parts were there, all it needed was extra work around the core.
This ... has nothing. Even worse then Starfield. Both have their cores rotten - sh*t gameplay, sh*t story, sh*t music, sh*t characters. No patches will fix them. Maybe Starfield in 10 years, because it has some good qualities, but even modders are abandoning it, not to mention this ... cr*p.

The gameplay, however, is top notch. It's a lot of fun to play. If it had a ton more gameplay opportunities, the game would be amazing. If it had actual classes it would be better. If they made netrunning more like netrunning, it would be even better.

In my experience most people who proclaim they are gamers play the same game over and over, it's usually some version of a battle royal. I think one of the obvious problems is that so many gamers today grew up with very average gaming experiences that are considered to be "AAA" games. People born in the 80s and early 90s are the ones that grew up during the golden era of gaming, when there was no day one patch, and games had to work out of the box. It's a shame what has happened to the gaming industry.
Not really, look to pc and get into the indie and small devs games...games that usually cost 5-40 bucks...yea all that range...many 10, 15, 20,25 and 30 dollar games and all WAY better than most AAA games in the last 10 years. I agree though I was born in the late 80s grew up in the 90s when like Genres were being made with games...Doom, Diablo, Ultima, Runescape, Wow...ect ect.

The industry standard for the past 8 years;
Design a game with the least amount of effort possible, that requires the least amount of input possible (for braindead inclusivity), add some woke crap, and either acquire a franchise name or make the game "look" like a franchise, do no testing, no QA, release in an EA state, and worry about any problems later on down the line.
The reason they have adopted this standard? Because FOMO Joe/Joely will either preorder or be waiting for the exact second of launch to hit the download button and the ones that don't will "hate"-buy it with the idiotic excuse of "I only bought it so I could leave a bad review!"
The industry is never going to change until the consumers do.

I would be interested to hear what you think about Star Wars Survivor. Originally it didn't run for you, but maybe you could consider a late review. You could also take a look at Doomsday Hunters, DOTAGE, Knights Of Honor 2, TNMT: Shredder's Revenge... AAA games are really not that interesting to hear about any more, because we know what not to buy. I think it would be more beneficial to tell people what to actually buy.

I saw them advertising a DLC on day 1. Meaning they intentionally withheld content from the game at launch just to sell you later as a dlc.

last few weeks ive been playing CnC generals zero hours and BFME 2: ROTWK. Games from 20 years ago. Never knew I would have nothing to play but games from the past. Back then I was excited for the future of gaming. Oh how wrong I was to have such hopes.

Dynasty Warriors was a meme when it came to simple combat, but I played it a lot anyway. Spam the attack button, and you’ll do fine. But at least you had to move your character manually to hit. Not anymore! Spam spam spam win win win.
