    I am so glad I found the Lovecrafts website for yarn and other crochet and knitting products. They always have a sale on some yarn up to 75% off. The Red Heart soft baby steps yarn on this video is only £1.99 per 100g ball. Just amazing as this is super soft baby yarn. They have many other brands too. Cheaper than I have seen them elsewhere.

  • @tierapersing7220
    @tierapersing7220 4 роки тому

    I really like how you did the bottom edging, so many times my starting chain ends up being to loose or too tight than the rest of the body part. I was crocheting along with you and did make some early mistakes at the sides, not getting into the chain 2 space so I used markers at each end so I would get in the proper spot and it worked out wonderful for me then. I plan on making a nice wrap for myself first, then I will be making more for others. Thanks.

    • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel

      No it dosn't if you use the hook your yarn label says BUT lots of times I use what ever hook I like. ha ha ha If it dosn't look right I just change the hook and start again but this mesh is great with any size hook or yarn.

  • @neilschultheis9412
    @neilschultheis9412 4 роки тому +2

    Hi Alison! Hope all is well. I have a question. When you complete a row are you performing a slip stitch “in” the chain 2 stitch from the prior row or are you performing a slip stitch into the prior slip stitch loop end that you created prior, just before the chain 3?

    • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
      @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel  4 роки тому

      into the chain 2 stitch (the loop) because you cant go into the stitch as the are off line like arches stcked together to build a wall. your rows are staggerd. If you know what I mean.

    I need help please. Though I've watched and rewatched the video 4 times now, my 3rd rows and beyond end up longer than the first two. I have no idea where I am going wrong and have repeatedly unraveled 5+ rows. I especially watch where the row ends, the two chains, etc. Any suggestions?

    • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
      @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel  2 роки тому

      pit a marker on the end of each row this will stop you adding stitches so it wont grow longer it sounds like your adding extra chains and loops at the ends (increasing the rows)

  • @jeanettetreglia5551
    @jeanettetreglia5551 4 роки тому

    Is there a written pattern? I’m so confused is it a chain 3 at the end of the row chain 2? And on the 1st row you didn’t go to the end technically to make the edge come even

    • @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel
      @AlisonRussellsCrochetChannel  4 роки тому

      if you go to the end every row your blanket will grow out the way ( wider) as you will keep chain and crochet into that last one. I did that when I was working out how to keep it straight its chain 2 at the beginning of every row then chain 3 as you work along. Imagine Its like a stack of wooden arches, you will always have every 2nd row in a little bit at either side The small chain 2 keeps it straight I will do a picture and post it on the community page here on my channel. If you go to the home page and look along the top for the community page.

      It will depend on the size of blanket your making I got a large pram size with just 1 ball of 100g this stitch has a little streach so it get large quite quick.

      Thank you so much for trying to help Sylvia, my daughter told me to make up an order on Marriner yarns, they do it £1 a ball and have a bigger choice and she paid for it which was good of her. Once again Thank you so much for trying to help xxx
