Thanks for this, very informative. I pick up my bifuel Duster in this colour in the next couple of weeks. I can't wait 🙂

Evening, Bev and. Thanks 🙏 for the accolade!
I’ve had my Duster since Mid/Late April. I’ve already put just over 11k on the clock as it’s so cheap to run. I bought this as my first ever brand new car and intend hanging on to it till he effectively gives up the ghost, Bev. I absolutely love the car! On a full LPG tank, I’ll get up to 440 miles (48-ish litres). Petrol appears to be more economical on MPG but of course, is over twice the price (nearly £1 more per litre!). You won’t regret it. Have you ordered the Prestige model? 🤔

@@eoinstechhobbychannel-eoin6609 I think we've got the Comfort version. It's a Motability car so we get a new one every three years. It's our first Duster, we've always had Citroens in the past but the advance payment for those has gone through the roof since covid so we switched to the Dacia range as they offered bifuel with a reasonable advance payment option. We ordered it back in May but there has been a bit of a delay which seems to be the norm now and we really can't wait to start saving on the fuel.

@@BevviiD ordered mine in November and arrived, I think, 20-ish March. So, seems about right. It arrived a few weeks ahead of schedule, too. 😉👌 On longer journeys you’ll need to check out where the LPG stations are, Bev. Not as many as I’d like but still between 60p and £1 cheaper than petrol per litre. I drove my girls around to do the National Three Peaks challenge in the summer. About 900 miles of driving in 48hrs on about £75 of LPG. 😉👌

I've had my bifuel Prestige Duster four weeks tomorrow and absolutely love it! I got the Slate Grey colour. It came with a tank of fuel and I filled it with LPG just to get used to using the LPG filler. Like you I'll be using LPG as my primary fuel. It's a great car!

I have Android auto set up and have found it connects seamlessly every time and it being wireless is fantastic....no loose wires! I'd add one thing about the LPG adapter, though. I had TERRRRRIBLE trouble uncoupling the gas nozzle from he adapter after filling and found the simple solution was to remove the tiny plastic QR Code sticker that was on the adapter. This was causing the nose bayonet to stick so as you tried to twist the nozzle off, the adapter twisted too. Problem solved. 👍😉

It was the best decision I’ve ever made, as regards modern cars. Filling up on £35 is just a dream compared to nearly £90 on petrol.

I went to an LPG conversion place and they changed the filler to a permanent bayonet fitting. It's so much easier to just put the pump on and fill, my partner had no confidence in using the adapter and on a couple of occasions have got stuck to it due to it unscrewing. Cost me £120 and was done in about 45 mins to an hour.

Hi, Ben! Like you, I became a wee tad paranoid when my local ASDA (Queensferry near Chester) ran out just a week before my Sister arrived and an unknowledgeable member of staff at the till stated that they weren't getting it back in. two weeks later, they're back up and running. Find out if there are any gas suppliers nearby. I have a large one and although it's only open office hours, it has a filling pump that I can use. It has a set rate of .90p a litre which is now £1 less per litre than petrol. Also, the ASDA is .727p litre. I fill up on about £35 and the car returns about 420 miles on that tank. I drive no faster then 60mph on the motorway (as more and more drivers are working out that they will get up to 60-100 miles more out of a tank if you're more frugal with your speed.)
I just returned from driving my stepdaughter and her buddy while they completed the National 3 Peaks Challenge. I drove 950 miles over the weekend. Filled up three times with gas to spare.

I’d you want more power, the 1.3 would be best, I guess. But I’d always recommend my 1.0tce bifuel as it costs me virtually £1 less per litre here in the UK. I’ve been using mine all the time, now, and doing all the family driving. Right now, we’re on a short family camping break. I’ve got a large Thule roof box filled and the boot is filled with camping kit and three adults and the car is doing 36mpg on LPG gas. I’ve still got the original petrol from when I bought it 9 weeks ago. The petrol only starts the car, so if you’ve left it overbought it might take a few miles to revert to LPG. If you’re in warm summer weather or just driven the car, it might swap to gas in seconds. So, maybe fill or half fill and then only occasionally top up some petrol. But filling my car on over £85 on petrol OR £35 on LPG for virtually the same MPG? It’s a no-brainer, my friend! I’d buy the Bi-Fuel model again and again!

I run it on gas for that gives 63 mpg and its got to be better than using electric!. like yourself , i see it as a no brainer!. Yeah, given the dropping of the cost of petrol, it's not as expensive to run, compared to last year. However, at 80p per litre gas and petrol still at £1.44 per litre petrol, and given the difference in MPG for both, it's still much cheaper on gas. Thing is, you and I have the choice as I intend visiting Europe more often, it'll prove even more economical.@@julesdowner5585
