Hello and greetings from Poland. I aquired one month ago brand new cat 302.7 CR machine. I am completly new I just had the operator certification. Man, this video helped me a LOT to understand how to get the job done.

My previous supervisor would say: good enough. That means it’s perfect. Fast and nicely. Great operator!

How would you go about doing a sloped elevator shaft? Sloped on 2 sides square on the other.

If you had to do that same excavation with only one of those buckets, which would you choose?

Those are some clean, quick footings! I'm definitely slower than you. Usually if it's a big enough footing I'll hog the center line first because it gives the dirt somewhere to fall besides over the top when I dig the edges, but I'm going to try it your way.
Do you guys usually subgrade and rough cap break like this before digging footings? We usually leave it fat and subgrade after footings are poured, but on the last one we subgraded and armored it first because the location was a nightmare for water/mud. It worked out great

Nice work, but let’s keep it real. You not always going to have 2 buckets.

Maybe if you're digging lhouse basements. Any decent size commercial dig like this they should be giving you a quick coupler and two buckets, either that or an apprentice following you in a mini to clean up your corners and loose spoils. Depending on soil type and how nice your geotech is, you might not get the footing signed off if you just heel it off with the digging bucket. Plus if it's a neat cut footing, it's impossible to get all your corners clean enough without a laborer having to hop in there and shovel (especially without tiger teeth).
