- Ciao ragazzi!
In this video I’m building a huge paludarium for my teenage vampire crabs. While I was building I received a call from a friend asking me if I wanted some mourning geckos. Of course I said yes!
The "I did this, me" moment
Haha glad you enjoyed it!
This sounds totally amazing!
I would want to see it when it’s finished 😊
@@terraquaman absolutely!
Accurate mourning gecko music it's always a montage of moving furniture/tanks and having to look in angles you'd never look at otherwise
Haha so true ! Morning geckos definitely keep us on our toes with their curious antics 😄
This channel is so underappreciated these builds are fantastic
Thank you glad you like them! 😊
I've never seen the clay technique to cover the foam before! Such a great idea, I love it! (ps. I greatly appreciate the Bob Ross segment)
It worked out well! The moss seems to like it 😊 haha I glad you enjoyed it 😀
You, sir, earned my sub.
Really fantastic set-up, dude. Love it.
Awesome, thank you so much 😊
Wow ❤️
Simply awesome paludarium, absolutely stunning, well done👍
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome build!!
Thanks! 😊
What a fantastic build. I enjoyed watching all the process!!
Thank you so much. Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
Nice Bob Ross imitation =)
Haha thanks 😀
Awesome job! What water filtering system did you install? Did you think of adding a small trickle of water flowing down the larger branch?
Thanks !
I failed to mention it in the video but I added a small power head with a sponge. Just to kept the water flowing.
Yeah I crossed my mind. Maybe in the future I’ll add something like that. 😀
This is so satisfying
I’m glad you enjoyed it 😄
This looks great!
Thank you so much 😊
That’s a really cool looking tank!
Thank man !
Dude this looks EPIC. I would be so proud of myself if I made something like this. You for sure outdid yourself. The pieces of wood/stump you round and the rocks were amazing and really the perfect fit. The one rock that has a face, I thought it was a skull at first. Why does it have black spots? They look like eye sockets.
Also the method you used for the silicone spray foam background looks really good way less time and hassle than the "regular" method of spray foam first, cure, carve, silicone, pat eco earth/moss, cure again. And again with the foam pads, then potting fabric, leca balls with no mesh in between, and then the substrate. There are no set hard rules just an overall guide of how you can do the setup and man, you nailed it.
I really enjoyed this video and fell in love with this enclosure.
The rock is called flint stone and sometimes they are white on the outside and black on the inside.
Thank you so much for the kind words I really appreciate it !! 😊
Beautiful 🤩 tank
Thank you !!
First time seeing your videos. Absolutely amazing!
Glad you like them! Thanks !!
masterpiece of a video, keep up with the good work
Thank you very much! Will do 😀
Oh yeah, you keep this up and your channel is gonna go huge! Great build!
Will do ! Thank you so much 😀
The tank looks incredible, and the video kicks ass. Looove your channel
Thank you so much for your kind words 😀!!
Next level production and skill brotha keep them coming ❤
Thank you so much! Will do 😊!
Amazing ❤❤❤
Thanks ❤️
Snyggt! 🤩
Tack så mycket 😀
🔥🔥🔥
Love from Norway, i would love to see a waterfall going down the whole scape with rocks, and a heater so you can have fish in there(the corse fosm, and the waterfall will work as a filter)
Great ideas! If I ever rescape the tank I’ll definitely include a water fall. I think the water is too shallow for fish. 😊
@@terraquaman allways, love the videos
what a beautiful setup, a perfect addition would be epiphytic micro orchids mounted on the moss wall you’ve got, and who knows maybe one day you’ll include a drip wall.
Great ideas ! I definitely want more plants on the background 😊
pls keep doing the videos Its motivation me more vor starting project with lizard thank you
I will keep making videos ! :)
I'm glad that my videos motivate you
Jag tänkte väl att din dialekt var jävligt lokal! Supersnyggt bygge. 10/10
Haha tack så jättemycket 😀!
Its beautiful, but you should add like a second story, because the beautiful decoration doesn't have any use.
Thanks. I hear you but actually both the geckos and the crabs use theme all the time.
Omg such a pretty cat tho
The Mino thanks you 😊
Ciao from Canada! Just found this channel, great video. Subbed, and looking forward to more builds.
Ciao from Sweden! Thank you so much and welcome 😀
Channeled your inner Bob Ross huh? 😂
Hahah yes i couldn’t resist 🤣
I really feel like this channel should be pushed out to the algorithm gods and get way more subs and views. Are you on insta and tiktok as well?
I agree 😆 I have instagram. TikTok I refuse haha !
Awesome build! Keep an eye on the geckos though, they'll be quick to polish off any of the smaller baby crabs they come across.
Collecting out all the babies from tanks is a massive job! They just keep coming! 🤣
Thanks !!
Yeah I think the crabs are too big for theme 😀
Haha it really is a big job. I still find crabs in the the old tank 😄
Fresh looking design, man! Those animals are lucky to have you. What brand of enclosures are those? I like the single swinging door on the smaller one.
Thank you so much! It’s reptizoo 😊
Love it, how do you keep the water clean?
Glad you enjoyed it! I do weekly water change and I have I small filter inside 😊
😮😮😮
What are you using for biological filtration? I noticed a lot of water movement at the far left side of the tank, a power head with a foam filter?
Yes it's a power head with a little sponge just to have some movement in the water.
I didnt realise you where Swedish until I saw the shipment from Vattenliv.
Oh really? Are you Swedish too ?
Is there a filter and or a heater in there someplace?? I don't recall you showing it during the build
I added a small filter. I realized now that I didn’t mention that in the video.
I don’t have heaters in any of my setups.
My crabs are doing fine without.
Where did you get that enclosure? And what are the dimensions?
I got it at my local reptile shop. It’s 90 cm high 90 cm long and 45 cm deep. The brand is ReptiZoo. ExoTerra had one in that size too.
What kind of clay did you use?
It’s called water lily clay.
Where can I find a palerderium tank of this size?
I bought it at my local reptile shop. The brand is called ReptiZoo. Exoterra has a similar one too 😊
Geco and crabs will not be eatig each other?
Right now the crabs are too big for the geckos to eat theme and the same the other way around. How ever if they have babies it’s a different story so I have to keep an eye open and separate the babies from the adults the in future.
can the geckos swim ??
they can
Yes 😊
Never release Crabbys into the water!
Noted ! Won’t do it again ! Thanks for the advice.
Ive had 7 vampire crabs in my paludarium and I havent seen any babies, easily 5 months now :(
I get your frustration!
Breeding vampire crabs can sometimes take time.
Maybe there is something you can do to stimulate breeding? Maybe you have 7 males (unlikely).
Do you have enough hiding places and vegetation?
Are you familiar with @indoorecosystem on UA-cam?
Maybe his videos can help you.
Good luck !
Epic build man I’m working on three different builds at the same time for three different pets check it out once it’s done and oh I just subscribed to the channel & new to the channel keep up the great work I have 7k subscribers as well
Thanks! Sounds great I’ll definitely check it out !😊
@@terraquaman hope you like it appreciate it if you do
Maybe i missed it but how did the female get pregnant again after the male died? I currently have a pregnant female but i don't think the eggs are fertile (because she hasn't seen a male in ages) Anyway, awesome video, cheers from SmallScaleTales🤍🌱
The female can probably retain sperm
Ah, interesting question! Once a female vampire crab gets pregnant, she can lay eggs multiple times without needing to mate again. After mating once, she stores sperm, which she can use to fertilize multiple batches of eggs.
I hope the eggs are fertile !!
Thank you so much!
