I have to say the woodpecker, most underrated bird ever. Every Time it strikes a tree it exerts over 1000G ON ITSELF. It has specially evolved to basically have a springy section at the back of its skull to stop its brain smashing through the other side. It has to close its eyes every time it hits a tree so they don't pop out of its head. I don't know about you but that's pretty BA to me.
Shoebill storks are pretty crazy, but peregrine falcons are kind of mind bending... but even many vulture species are pretty insane. So it kind of depends on your criteria...

I like quails, I love they’re fat little round body’s and the sounds they make are adorable, and the baby’s are like cotton balls running faster than sound basically. All around quails are silly little round birds.
I like SJB Since I don’t know really good combos and I get to see some really helpful stuff. (Btw a combo for boss Bloons normal 1-3 is 4 or 5 / 2 / 0 monkey village plus 2/0/4 or 5 tack shooter)

One of the coolest birds that is alive now is the Secretary Bird they are really fast and attack using their feet and can fly and they look really cool too so if there was any bird that is alive today that's really cool it's this one
I know little about prehistoric animals, but the most “B.A.” flying animal currently existing is definitely the golden eagle. There’s no flying animal that looks more badass to me than an eagle with a flying hood on. Just my opinion though. My favorite bird is the peregrine falcon though, but I would call that bird amazing rather than badass. It took an average of 9 bullets to kill an emu, and a general in charge of the operation said that if their army was as strong as emus are they could have destroyed germany in ww2 Then in the 50s china lost a war to the sparrow. And in this case, it was much worse of a loss than the emu, because there were about 30 million civilian casualties. Mao Zedong one day decided that sparrows along with a few other animals were dirty, so he ordered all of china to kill them on sight. His plan was to have citizens bang pots and pans whenever they saw sparrows to scare them off. Without being able to land anywhere, the sparrows would fall out of the sky from exhaustion and die. And the crazy thing is this plan worked! He managed to kill most of the sparrow population in the country, but the thing is the sparrows took care of insects that harmed their crops, so without the birds there was a massive famine causing many casualties. Maybe the craziest part is at some point the polish embassy tried to hide sparrows in the embassy to save them. Mao had the building surrounded with drummers to make enough noise to keep them flying until they were exhausted. A few days later no more birds in the embasy. Both birds are by far the most ba birds because they won wars. And we can give an honorable mention to pigeons for serving in ww1

Fun fact, a Tyrannosaurus can get up to 40 ft long. A Quetzalcoatlus' wingspan is 33 ft and it's head is 10 ft long.
