I was actually tracking the storms that hit Chicagoland well into the night on July 15th. That day was trippy. [skip this below if you hate nerdy talk] To give a sort of synoptic breakdown, you have a bonified "derecho" day. A derecho is basically a column of wind, hail, and spin-up tornadoes that travel for 400 miles or longer, and usually have hurricane wind gusts (74mph+) during it's lifespan. From about 3pm to 2am, the derecho moved from the Cedar Rapids area to the Fort Wayne area before rapidly weakening due to the effects of multi-directional shear (which is when different wind speeds with height move in different directions, usually perpendicular to the boundary). Derechos usually need extreme instability, coupled with a temperature/dewpoint spread and dry air aloft, which supports the growth of significant wind. Shearing should also be unidirectional, and usually following the boundary to get a linear mode (or when storms form into a line). You had that thermodynamic and kinematic profile, which supported significant wind and spin-up tornadoes. While the worst of the effects were felt in the Davenport area, Chicagoland was also hit hard, with sustained wind gusts of like, 70 to 80mph with multiple weak spin-up tornadoes in the city. It was chaotic, but at least it wasn't as bad as how the models were predicting. I'm glad you're ok SJB. Everyone in the weather community that day was going wild over the entire situation.

So at 15 minutes in, SJB started struggling with ceramics and bought a maelstrom. I'll never understand why he avoids stall. Ice is great against ceramics. Glue is good. Ninja or super monkey knockback is respectable.
Ya we got hit with the same storm in central Illinois. The wind here was super strong luckily I cut all the trees down around my house neighbors were not so lucky
your positioning of the mad almost halved his popping power half of his shots where going into the building doing nothing and you kept aiming it as if it was normal but you should have been aiming with only the 1 arm that could actualy hit something
Ugh, Chicago, I live there...not good for my anxiety. More afraid for my cat, though...need to find a way to block the underside of my bed so i have an easier time grabbing her in case of an emergency. -.-
Wild story man, I'm so happy there are not a lot of wild storms like that where I live, that would be scary. Hopefully I'm not jinxing it with these climate changes man. Also, I feel like you would have a much easier time if you went for a solver early as a bridge to the mad, you wouldn't have to buy random towers to survive but it was more fun this way 😀
Is powerful darts actually better than "focus" fire with the MAD cross path? I would assume accuracy is always better than whatever that the bottom offers. Could be wrong just because I've never used bottom path with MAD.
Bottom path is better for the top lane bc the moabs are closer. For rhe bottom lane, the increased accuracy would've been slightly better. Bottom path adds more pierce to the mad tho, so definitely worth it if ure close to the things ure tryna pop
Bottom path is better when the mad is closer to the bloons while top path is better when ure halfway across the map. Bottom path adds more pierce to each attack, allowing the mad to damage more moabs at once. Hope that helps
I think it doesn't matter at all for the MAD (in fact how about no crosspath??), but for lower tiers, the pierce of the 0-2-2 is definitely necessary, and there are benefits and drawbacks of each crosspath for the 3rd and 4th tiers. What SJB should have done is gotten a midgame carry like summon phoenix to save up for the MAD rather than all of the random overdrives and stuff, and that would have saved lots of money and effort. Or build a strategy where you get the glaive lord first since that carries until round 90 with just a little moab help (rocket storm might suffice in saving up for glaive lord and MAD). Also, Ninja Kiwi, please buff Churchill! He is by far the worst hero in the game right now, so props to SJB for pointing this out!
