What up nerds! Any other ML models I should take a look at?
Yes ,one that can scale up the resolution for a video..you know with as little quality loss as possible.
Check out gimp and dark table
Hey can you do a tutorial on motion tracking your subject to change the background like Florencesoffia did in his video in instagram where he was walking around the well??@Matthew Paquette
ML standing for Magic Lantern, alternative firmware for canon cameras that enable raw video !
@@_galterius Lol nice!
dude, this awkward stand up comedian set up is PERFECT for you! keep doing this
You had to use my stop motions for making examples :))
Frrr I just realised that
Wait I did what?
@@matthewpaquette You did nothing... I said that you had to use my samples because it would be great to see how my animation can be improved with this program
@@LCMhistory ooooh haha. That would have been great!
They're really good
THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! You saved my college final project! I came home today and my footage was like 12fps (should've been 24) and I used the program to smooth it out, worked perfectly!
awesome! donate to the dude who made it
my dude was thinking 24fps is good lol
@@L1Zxxzx its atleast bearable unlike 12fps
@@L1Zxxzx with projects or cinematics/films you actually want to render in 24 or 48fps because of the frame shutter rate. You dont want to render in 60-120 or more fps like gaming vids, tho you can record at a higher framerate and then render at a lower with optical flow/interpolation/rsmb motion blur to make the frames feel smooth but still cinematic. Too smooth in edits can look very jaring and outta place, unless a part is slowed for velocity
"What up nerds" lmao that's literally how I show up at work every morning haha
Same. But I work at home. So it’s less fun
@@matthewpaquette cool
More like dani's intro
i aspire to be like this when i grow up
"whats up nerds" 🙂
"so long nerds" 🥲
Loving your relaxed communication style! You keep getting better 😊
I've found damn good uses for it:
1) Remastering old game footage from early youtube. I've started a small AI-powered remastering project on some old Yogscast videos I loved as a kid, and RIFE has gone down well with the folks I tested it on.
2) Rendering with Blender; depending on the speed of the animation, I've been rendering in blender at 15 or 30 frames a second, then later bumping it up to 60fps as RIFE renders 3 frames a lot quicker than blender can render one. And when I say quicker, I mean holy shit blender needs this technology. Or EEVEE-ray tracing and DLSS, that'd be useful af, but for now RIFE and AI software like Topaz video enchance to upscale my renders will work just fine.
im using it to pump up my animations too!
i also render in blender at 15 or 30 fps and omg it helps a lot since i dont have a gpu !!
goddamn its a lifesaver to animators
That's what I came here for lol
Thats exactly what I came here for. I like animating in blender, preferably in 60 fps, but my scenes are so complex sometimes that my computer just cant handle that amount in the viewport. Thats why i now animate in 30 fps and then bumb it up to 60 in RIFE, works quite well, i gotta say.
This is super professional and funny at the same time, and that camera quality too damn
You are hilarious! And informative AF! I am retired from a lifetime of multimedia production….but I still want to keep my hand in…your AE videos helped me understand some features that I didn’t realize existed. I am a fan! Bigly!
The last couple videos have been great. Super useful tools. Thank you Matt!
Thanks so much!
ive been stoked for this video! epic content matt keep it up dad
Requirements: a pretty decent GPU
*shows a RTX 2070 Super
Me: *cries in intel hd graphics*
Can you use Intel?
i tried with Intel HD 620. It worked. But you need a very powerful cooler and you shouldn't do a video that's longer than 30 seconds at once.
same 😭
intel integrated hd graphics pentium inside 😏😎
Can I do it on iPhone 7 Plus?
This is a game changer for so many people 🤯
I just wanted to stop by and say, you helped me out a lot, I had a 5s clip with too low of a framrate and I'm on a deadline.
Thank you!
What the fudge man! That was the most fun/educational video I have ever seen!
could one use this to double the framerate of a 30fps game recorded at 60fps?
yes
it can ;p and on my tv with 30fps ingame i can play in 60 but with horrible smoothed input lag. For videos this tech is amazing. even very old videos look more alive, and its rendered in real time
@@matthewpaquette Can this quadruple the speed of a video?
(15 to 30, then 30 to 60)
I love the way it all looked like a stand-up comedy show! hahaha
I freaking love ur editing style, this was so entertaining.
TYSM! I was searching the web for this kind of tool and I saw your video! Its even open source!
thank you so much for this! this is simply awesome! although in my case it has taken me over 2 hours to convert 30 minute videos but damn it's well worth it! it looks stunning in 60 fps!
This was perfect for what I needed! Thank you : )
yo bro you are a lifesaver i had a ton of footage that got destroyed and were useless because of the fps and this saved me tysm bro you legit deserve 3 million subs
This is so useful for me. I do dance covers on my phone so sometimes when the battery is low it switches to 30fps. Imma try this AI today.
Yo I'm subscribed to this guy! I needed a tutorial and you always help me out thanks.
this great for animators, you can slash the frames that you would have to manually draw which saves a lot of time and effort
This is exactly what I needed to bring my restored music videos to better quality. I tried all that Anaconda prompts and that was just confusing. My PC can do one music video in 45 min with a 1060 6gb gifs card.
could you do a comparison to optical flow in premiere?
like if anyone else interested in this.
@Untamed Corgi Adobe After Effects' one has been tweaked to work a little better, 50fps to 60fps with it's optical flow does pretty well, 30fps to 60fps does okay-ish
i think this is best used for slowing something down then making it smooth again(like in all these AMV videos)
thanks matthew this was really helpful
Thank you so much :D
I guess it can be very helpfull if you film some clips in 24fps and you decide afterwards that you want to slow it down
Totally! Make those suckers 48 frames!
thanks very much! current version seems to support UHD/4K which is awesome.
He comedy, he got looks, he talks smooth, but most importantly gives detailed explanation on point. This dude is perfect for this job.
Thank you so much! This was exactly what I needed!
this is exactly what i needed thank you so much!! :-D
I really like this style of vid. I'm tired of a bunch of hyper wannabes. This looks like a medium paced talk show. I like the microphone holding part. I'm subscribing.
Just what I was looking for thanks
Thank you Matt, after trawling around the web getting stung by so called free/but were paid sites, this is just what I've been looking for, although my GPU does not support cuda it still was able to use my CPU which was a relief. It worked really well, best used on small chunks I found. Thanks a bunch, and subbed.
Thanks for sharing Matt.
I’m subscribing just because he started with ‘’what up nerds’’ with such nerd swagger. 👍💯
great work! i hope you get 1M soon
thank you so mush for making things clear that was very helpfull brother i just have a question ...i have 4k 30fps and 1080 60fps...i know maybe my processor cant handle 4k 60fps but i dont really need 4k 60 i just need anything higher than 1080..for example let say i want 1920 60fps do you think that will work thats what im trying to find actually just to push my camera a little bit more to record something better than 1080 but of course in 60fps..do you have any idea how ?? Thanks again
This is awesome, thank you very much for sharing, you got yourself a new subscriber. It took my (slow laptop) computer 5 or 6 hours to render 100 frames last night, now I have 200 frames, it only took like 5 minutes (it says 3:34, but there's some setup that it does before). I'm going to try 4x to see how it does it.
Unique Style
You are doing DOPE
Keep going
software aside, this guy's presantation and way of communicating is really good lool. you earned a sub mate
Thanks! This is exactly what I was looking for. I purchased an Elgato 4k60 pro Mk.2 and looking to interpolate PS5 Bloodborne framerate up to 60 or 120hz.
It works?
And here I was thinking to convert The whole Attack on Titan Series on 60fps on my low end mx150 gpu
I don't even have a graphics card and it works, it's slow as hell, but it works
Im really vibing this stand up comedy look! 😂
Loving the new studio. Well done. Interesting video. ASMR ending 🤣🤣🤣
first, love your vids keep up the great work!
it was worth it to stay till end of video! Nice! :D
thank you so much, i love what you do !
when i checked to see if i could download it, i saw that there was only a windows version. is there a version for Gnu/Linux like Linux Mint (Unbuntu) or am i just gonna have to use a virtual machine to use this?
This was really awesome and something I would have loved in my last wedding video! Do you know if there's a good reliable one for Mac though?
This helped a lot, thanks.
That's very useful. Do you know any version for Mac users?
Why am I not able to do something like that in Premiere? The video I've been given is 24fps but it's a converted video with 3:2 pulldown so some of the frames inside are duplicates. If I slow down the video I can see that my frames are: NewFrame NewFrame CopiedFrame, NewFrame NewFrame CopiedFrame, etc. This makes the video look choppy, but any attempt to duplicate framerate, also duplicates the static motion (the choppiness) that came with those CopiedFrames. The solution would actually be to manually delete every third frame which would make the 24fps video into a 16fps video, and then increase framerate with AI or fluid motion or something else. Is there any way to fix this kind of problem?
please help. when I downloaded the FlowFrame app, the app keeps deleted itself. please help what should I do?
*This is literally a game breaking software for an animator, thanks*
Hope it doesn't break the game
60 fps doesnt make animation better
I think results might be... iffy with animation.
Definitely literally make your animation look busted... SMH
Apparently animators hate it especially when it comes to drawing effects or 'animating in twos'
have yourself the most wonderful day too
Good stuff man!
It was good, informative and hilarious, I thank you right now 😂
THANK YOU!!!!! You just saved my school work.
My interest was Slow Motion. I compared Flow Frames to Kdenlive speed change feature and decided that at best they are equal. As the speed change feature is an easier work flow I will use it and I suggest others to compare and decide which way to go.
this dude is great and funny. subscribed !!
Love the style of this video and I’m a big nerd 👌
Great video, and very helpful. Quick question, what microphone are you using?
Excellent! It works perfect
This will be awesome for nascar stop-motions!
I wish you tried this on cartoons. When I decided to dive into the series Bleach, I had to start with the early seasons and wasn't prepared for the choppiness of traditional animation.
Is there a way to make this work on a Mac?
thank you ! useful quick and fun! ❤
I'm looking to convert short 4k30 clips to 60fps. Will this work for 4k footage or is there something else that will???
I’m not a coder so this question might sound stupid to some: what’s the difference between the two RIFE interpolation presets (Pytorch and Vulkan/NCNN)? I’m playing with both and the latter seems a bit better. I would only use DAIN if I had one or two frames missing in a video. But for anything longer than a few seconds either of the above is far less time-consuming. By default I tend to use CUDA presets as my GPU runs on NVIDIA, which is why I’m asking the question.
Love that awkward ending!
We should do this again sometime
mine gives an error when I press the interpolate button. gives this message - canceled: frame extraction failed!
Extracted 898 frames
yout input file might be incompatible
what is it?
I know that my card is weaker, but I think it only hinders the speed, doesn't it? A gtx1060 6gb
How does this compare to Twixtor and After Effects internal algorithm? :)
"In my case because i dont know what the heck im doing i just installed everything, seemed to work", you diserve my like.
i mean, the framerate in fsx decreases during landing due to shadows of static objects and a high end pc is expensive. the differences between one and the next frame must be detected and in case, an interpolated frame must be added. years ago, i recorded fsx with 1/2 speed due to the low framerate but perhaps the software could improve the recording
I'm gonna give this a try!
Hey man my interpolation always gets canceled for some reason It's incompatible and I don't have this tab where I can convert it any solution ?
Do you know if something like this exists in open source but for still images?
Hey mate is there a way to interpolated frames from 60-120 frames while streaming live?
The only problem is that when I start it there is no installer window and now I can't use it.
This works so great, but it keeps deleting itself from my PC. I even set it so that Norton lets it bypass the firewall. It works for a few hours, and then somehow deletes itself, and I have to install it over and over again, which takes like 15 minutes to re-DL all the dependencies.
Great!
Is ther any frame interpolation app for m1 mac's gpu ?
OK, i have a dream... free stuff, ty, u have a new sub!
When I interpret my video from Flowframes, it gives me a bunch or errors like: Python runtime installation couldn't be found.
Also, when I install Flowframes, there is no package installer... Can you please help?
ok, I have an Nvidia k3000m Quadro and it has 500 cores or something like that. Is that ok for this? i just want to get this for fun
Wow. Thank you so much
this is great for making montages!
Haha just shot a commercial and missed some 60fps shots! That's great thank you!! 🙏🙏😁
Maybe this can help you out!
TYSM for the very cool video
This will be useful with my crappy Canon T5i and the fact that it only shoots 60fps at 720p. Yippee! Thanks, Matt!
I subscribed! Your're awesome!
como configurar para no perder calidad de video
Davinci resolve 16/17 has it built in, it's in the free version too I think
The package installer doesn’t show up for me so it doesn’t let me install Python Runtime
Ok fine, I have subscribed... You didint have to whisper though.
I really loved you presentation as well, very authentic
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. One question. Do you think it produces better results compared with optical flow and twixtor?
