We've set sail to illustrate all sorts of sea creatures and shells in the watercolour Ocean Series. You will soon see I can't make up my mind which is coral and which is seaweed, but I think they both act as a brilliant starting template to create your own shapes and sizes of underwater plant life.

Each painting project involves mastering a particular watercolour technique. The ocean series is all about creating beautiful illustrations with a single colour. The first seaweed/coral shape in Cadmium Orange looks at forming loose shapes, blending colour.. and just how light you should be drawing in pencil to be able to rub it out! The second seaweed/coral shape in Cadmium Red looks at cartoonish outlines and layering to create texture and movement. Enjoy!
