You may have already discovered this but there needs to be ample room on both sides of base station(2-3ft) so the robot lidar can detect the sensors on each side. Otherwise, nice comprehensive review!
Perhaps the base station should be placed in a more open space for the pathfinder to work. The technology in 2008 requires a long wall for the base station
In your video you switched from sweeping to mopping but I can't switch to only sweeping without mopping. App switched it automatically after I removed the mops but that is not very "robotic". :) Can you try to switch it with mops installed? Thanks.
Hi, I'm trying to understand if the Roidmi EVA I've just bough it's ok. Can anyone confirm that all the followings behaviors are normal and common for this model?: 1. When not in use, the robot stays put in the base station with flashing power button h24 (and this is its standard stand-by status). 2. In this stand-by status the icon 'battery with flash symbol in it' is displayed all the time. 3. Long pressing the power button of the robot it says that "robot is charging, cannot shutting down" even if it is fully charged (confirmed by the central icon of the base station and by the Roidmi app). No, Roidmi sent them for this review, I think this was one of the first units, that's why the manual is Chinese only. I think it will be available for purchase soon though. ~ Chris
