In the '70s I worked at the Brillion Iron Works and help to make that cultimulcher shown behind one of the Case tractors. We made many of those. It brought back memories of the good people that I worked with. It gives me pride when I see one. But to see one in action, even more.

I enjoyed this video. Thanks. I grew up in this era and we had Case on our farm. We had a new Case LA gas tractor I think a '49 or '50 model, a new Case 400 diesel tractor bought in 1956, a new little 600 gas Case-O-matic bot in '59, a 1010 combine bot new in '63, a new 930 diesel in '66, a 2470 4WD in '76 and then we switched brands. I am very familiar with all these models from the 50s to the 80s. Spent my summer holidays on them haying and making summerfallow.

J i Case tractors were big in the cemetery industry. Every funeral i attended in 1960s through early 1980 throughout the tri-state area NYC, NJ & Ct mostly used Backhoes made by the J I Cade Company like the 830 series. I'd see them off to the side waiting to cover gravesites of funerals.

I pulled a 600 pull type combine behind a 4020. It had a Melroe pickup on the header, we swathed our small grain back then. That thing was great, it just ate up the grain, and, the spiketooth cylinder made the best straw for bedding.

Had a 2670 for a while. would have kept it but.......
Used it for two seasons running discbine, seems they didn't put a heavy enough PTO clutch in them.
After the fourth time of rebuilding the PTO clutch/cylinder in less than two years... It got traded off!
Ended up trading down... IH 5288.
Miss the 2670!!! I know where it is, know the present owners. Trying to get it back 😎 hopefully it isn't in too bad of condition now...
I noticed lots of red plows!!

Miss having a bigger tractor, so I'm trying to get it back.. I know what it is, I know what's been done to it, I don't think the current owners hurt it any... We upgraded the steering cables, found some much heavier ones at an equipment surplus yard, should be bullet proof 😎

My uncle had a Case 770 Agri King. He had restored the tractor after he acquired it unserviceable. Unfortunately, his financier was so obsessed with its restoration to almost full glory that he forcefully seized the machine and wanted to convert it to his personal use!!! The very said day in 1984 at around 7 PM an Morris Oxford -Series 6 car collided with the tractor from the side and broke it into two halves!!!! That was the end of that beautiful tractor. For years this broken tractor was sitting there and about four years ago the guy sold it for scrap metal.🇬🇾

TY BTP for bringing us these videos of the Progress Show. I sure do miss the days when the farm equipment manufacturers were each their own company, rather than them being owned by about three parent companies that basically build the same tractor and just put the name of the old company on it. Back in the old days, there was definite differences between the brands and each brand was unique and beautiful, but today they all look the same ... UGLY .... and just have a different color and different name on them is all. Call me negative if you want, but that is how I feel and if you are honest & smart you will admit I am right.
