My big question.. I have work on tippers 30 mins away new driver. I was in construction all my life driven everything imaginable including 8 ton dodge and a canter in the last , have been shunting tippers with the mechanic.. I can get 120 a day 9 to 430 doing private jobs.. I'm 48. What should I ask for first day?.

It all depends what you want to do I'd say. If you're happy working in the yard that's not bad. I think asking for 130 - 140 a day is reasonable

Once u get a rigid licence u can drive an 18 tonne or is that another test?
You can drive upto 32 tonne on a rigid license.
