That’s why I had to buy one. Just came home from ATF jail with the short chop. I’ve already put the longer rail on it for clip on NVG and installed my kickstand. Combined with a 1-10x variable scope, this is a meat harvesting monster. Whole rifle with the can, scope, and kickstand is under 8 lbs. That’s Q.
The Fix from Q has a lot of wicked cool features. The 8.6 Blackout cartridge is genius, although SAAMI approval would help a lot. However, you really should explain the tapered muzzle because it’s a pain in the a$$. Q isn’t producing enough suppressors - always out of stock everywhere - and that tapered muzzle means nothing else is compatible. Q-sert is a great idea … except no one is producing accessories for it, including Q. Then there’s customers support, or rather lack thereof. You cannot get a human on the phone. They advertise barrel swapping but getting the documentation on HOW to do it is a PITA. Should come with the rifle along with bolt disassembly instructions. This ain’t high tech guys - every other firearms manufacturer has PDF instructions easily accessible online. Browning and Winchester have instruction manuals for firearms they haven’t made for decades.
Dude the cherry bomb muzzle device for their silencers is backwards compatible with a 90 degree shoulder. So everything is compatible. And there is PDFs on how to do that. I tried linking them but they get deleted.
@@gregoryhines7 yes, I have a taper adapter but it’s just one more part to stack tolerances. Since my original comment, I found Rearden Manufacturing who makes a lot of Plan B compatible muzzle devices and 2 suppressor mounts (they call “Atlas”). Rearden makes a Plan B compatible flash hider with Q’s 25 degree shoulder. It works with their Atlas mount or an Omega from Q (not the Omega XL which is compatible with nothing). Q doesn’t make an 11/16-24 muzzle device compatible with the Omega XL (which what the large Cherry Bomb for 8.6 Blackout needs). I never did get a Porq Chop - they were unobtainable until months after I had ordered a Banish 46. Q’s customer service has improved by leaps and bounds over the past 3-4 months. They are responding to emails within a couple days, and whoever it is definitely knows their product lines.
I’ve spent over 20k on Q rifles, suppressors and accessories and I got deleted/banned from Q’s page/instagram for saying I like the Q trigger but that I like my geissele single stage a little more. What’s up with that!? People can’t have an opinion. I don’t get it and it really rubbed me the wrong way!
I have the 16" Fix in .6.5 CM. So I just now ordered the 12" Q 8.6 barrel. What size handguard do I need for the 12"barrel on The Fix? Thanks in advance.
out of the blue: could you please consider to make pretty much the ccx but with a diameter of 1.069 inches (because Q), a blast baffle instead of the spacer and 6 baffles instead of 5? please. Do not get mad please, it's just a question.
hello J I'm Brian. I recived The Fix 8.6 16in for xmas. i did shoot it and then ordered the Porq Chop. I'm just now realizing it going to be pretty long.... I'm a huge fan boy, not askin for free but can we swap out uppers? ill send u my 16in for a 12in upper. pls much love.
I sure would like one of these with a left handed bolt. If I'm going to spend ridiculous money on an Airsoft-quiet dinosaur rifle, you bet your ass that I want all my annoyances addressed. Working the bolt with my RH as a southpaw is one of those annoyances.
Nice gun but sorry I just don't see spending 4-5k on it. A lil fyi for future reference fellas you can sell way more guns and make a ton more money selling a 1500$ 2,000$ gun than a 5k gun I know you guys put a lot of time and effort into building it but it won't do you much good if only a handful of people can afford it 🤷
Let me turn that around for you: Only a handful of people are capable and willing to take on the risk and put in the time, effort, and R&D money to make something new, as opposed to pushing out another mid-tier AR clone.

And if you have a tapered muzzle from q there is an adapter so any 90 degree device is compatible with it. It literally all works with it all.

Q/Sup Def Fix just landed at my FFL, now the ATF wait. Porq Chop still backordered. Can't wait!
I came for the “but 375 Raptor” comments and Jay just throws it in his video lol
Same 😂
Nah man it is magic Q has wizards in the engineering department
It's funny that he mentions hunting rifle, yet Ian is using it for night competition. Great hunting rifle and round, though
Ian is using it for hunting….
@sigxm5thumb he said it will be a good replacement for his previous hunting rifle, but he didn't show us hunting with it.
Jay sold me on the 12”… sorry Kevin, 4” is just too hard to pass up… erhem 😅
Love our 12”

You can buy the barrel but you’d have to SBR it.
You can buy the barrel and keep that information to yourself as well

Semi auto or bolt for the 8.6? Slower follow up shots and more work for the bolt action.
