The people are friendly and the food is super fresh. I especially enjoyed your visit to the Spintex catfish restaurant. I could tell how much you enjoyed the fish. Red Red never ever disappoints. Has to be pound for pound the undisputed heavyweight champ of all Ghanaian dishes. Coming in a close second is either Jollof Rice or fried yam with pepper and fish. GA Kenkey with pepper and fish is defintely winning battles against many dishes. If anyone says the three dishes mentioned above take the top spot. I won't argue😂😂😂
I worked on Gordon Ramsay's "Hell Kitchen" show in Las Vegas. We had great food and desserts daily as employees. Also Gordon Ramsay is a very nice man, whose more buff than he looks on TV...It was a great experience
Haha the lady selling the kenkey (at the beginning of the video) said in the Ga language, that's not how she wanted you to film the kenkey LOL. But you really showcased Accra, Ghana well. Be mindful of using your left hand to greet people or taking/ giving something from someone, as it's deemed disrespectful, because the left hand is considered for 'toilet duties' only. Also, thumbs up can be deemed as a very rude insult, of course in the context you used your thumbs up to say 'cool' it wasn't insulting, but just be mindful of this next time. Hopefully your tour guides would have informed you. Overall love how you were so open to learning and embracing the Ghanaian culture. I just LOVE ❤my Ga 🇬🇭people. Much respect to you David. I wouldve gone broke going up oxford st. The custom converses, art prints, fabrics, bracelets, elephant trunk mask....bag it up! And the late night market...fresh smoked meats off plastic and newspaper in an atmosphere thats alive with live music...i gotta experience my homeland at least once. Thanks for this ❤
Having lived in Ghana for a couple years, I didn't grow to love some of the food, but some was great. I really enjoyed yoko gari (red red, definitely my favorite), waakye, jollof rice, and fufu with nkatenkwan (ground nut soup). I never ate at these kinds of fancy restaurants, so I got to eat the authentic street food versions of these foods. I ate mostly out of plastic bags (they'd wrap it up, you bite the corner off, then you eat it like Gogurt, squeezing it up from the bottom to the top, except for fufu, obviously lol).
First time seeing this guy's video. As an African, I'm inspired by his selflessness. Most Americans won't even eat the same thing they eat here in other countries.

Haha the lady selling the kenkey (at the beginning of the video) said in the Ga language, that's not how she wanted you to film the kenkey LOL. But you really showcased Accra, Ghana well. Be mindful of using your left hand to greet people or taking/ giving something from someone, as it's deemed disrespectful, because the left hand is considered for 'toilet duties' only. Also, thumbs up can be deemed as a very rude insult, of course in the context you used your thumbs up to say 'cool' it wasn't insulting, but just be mindful of this next time. Hopefully your tour guides would have informed you. Overall love how you were so open to learning and embracing the Ghanaian culture. I just LOVE ❤my Ga 🇬🇭people. Much respect to you David. I wouldve gone broke going up oxford st. The custom converses, art prints, fabrics, bracelets, elephant trunk mask....bag it up! And the late night market...fresh smoked meats off plastic and newspaper in an atmosphere thats alive with live music...i gotta experience my homeland at least once. Thanks for this ❤

Having lived in Ghana for a couple years, I didn't grow to love some of the food, but some was great. I really enjoyed yoko gari (red red, definitely my favorite), waakye, jollof rice, and fufu with nkatenkwan (ground nut soup). I never ate at these kinds of fancy restaurants, so I got to eat the authentic street food versions of these foods. I ate mostly out of plastic bags (they'd wrap it up, you bite the corner off, then you eat it like Gogurt, squeezing it up from the bottom to the top, except for fufu, obviously lol).
The way he ate made me hungry😄
