By far the best airbrush I've ever used.

Always interesting seeing seeing different guns. Still have a Iwata $180 gun hooked up but haven’t used it yet. Why? I do all I need to to with my master airbrushes set up with a .5 and a .2 needle. More about the paint of choice than the gun. I’ve tried them all. Createx, wicked, golden high flow and several low ball paints. By far the golden is the best paint I’ve come across

According to the UA-camr, @theartworkshop, a lower airspeed is better for painting detail. And when getting close to the subject matter, I have to agree. Nothing is more annoying than paint splatter or spider-webbing, or even the mere sound of a strong air blast. Higher pressures = more paint thrown at the subject per PSI. This could be great for coverage, but more difficult to do fine detail painting.
Great depth of review. I really did enjoy it!

Surprisingly the iwata neo has the same airspeed as a custom micron.

I use an H&S Infinity. Expensive, but the best trigger Ive used by far. I originally bought it for warhammer, before I started making my own lures.

I've always wanted to fly and ultralight. My physical condition will no longer allow for that dream. I did have the opportunity to parachute though, I'd imagine the experience would be similar to hang gliding.

Thanks for the reviews on air guns. I am searching to buy my first. I feel like in buying a fishing rod an air gun is similar in you need to feel it to see what is comfortable for you. Just my take. And again looking to buy my first air gun. Thank you for the insights in helping me.

Good luck...most inexpensive guns work fine so don't sweat it too much.

I think practicing with an air brush is one of most important things a person can do after purchasing an air brush, that becoming familiar with it through cleaning & practicing. My 1st air brush was a Badger model 200, a single action, siphon feed, I used only that brush for over 10 years before jumping to double action, which was a cheap one of off Amazon. I'm still better with my single action than any of the 5 or 6 doubles I have. But I still use them, it's just how much comfortable I am with that old badger.
Anyway good luck with air brushing

I would like to see a video where you test different lip angles and how they effect the diving depth of a lure. great content as always. keep it up!

Thank you for another great video!
I was wondering, have you ever made or thought about making a lure testing tank with flow? "The Fly tester" is a product on the market but I don't think it will work for lures as it may be to small and the flow does not seem to be laminar. With your background I think you would be able to engineer a flow tank for lures with laminar flow :)
It would be a great addition to the testing and tweaking of lures before taking them out to the water.

Yes I have drawn up plans and done the engineering but it is hard for me to commit the time and expense when I have a lake in my backyard. I'll make it one day.

Hi there. I live in Dublin, and ordered mine directly from Gaahleri official website. You'll get it from a warehouse in Germany with DHL in about 1 week, and it's free delivery.

Looks like a solid brush, I bet it will be nice for tiny details like spots on frogs or if you ever make something like a pike swimbait, and great review as always. Today I'd like to ask you if it's possible to dye the epoxy before pouring it into the mold. Let's say you want to make 10 all black jelly bean crankbaits. Would it be possible to just dye epoxy (with microballoons included) black and have them come out without needing base coat of paint?

    • @EngineeredAngler
      @EngineeredAngler  5 місяців тому +2

yes, you can use resin dyes or easier yet Specialty Resins sells the same casting resin that cures black.

My brush has been clogging on createx metallic paints. It’s a 0.3 mm so I am looking for a cheap 0.5 mm to paint scales on my lures. Thought about checking out harbor freights to see how it runs.
