FYI you have to buy the "Metal Pack" in order to get his preset($79). Even if I already have the elite version of the Bias Fx2 it is locked until you buy that "pack"
Exactly! I have elite and ran into that too. Garrett, can you upload a preset to Tonecloud that doesn't require the "metal pack", which BTW isn't even in the Positive Grid store.
After having this program for a few weeks now I realize it's by far the best amp sim on the market. I was beta testing it back in January but didn't realize what it was capable of back then. Considering using for my live rig with pod HD as an interface and midi controller now.

@@shaynestilllife That's awesome dude! I'm not quite sure what's the best route though. I use my OBS streamlabs to record it (don't ask me why :P) It seems to do the trick. I then record my audio in my daw and sync it later (which might be unnecessary). One tip though, It's important to make sure your screen capture is in the same sample rate as your daw. I made that mistake once :P

Hey, I don't play metal or listen to it, but I enjoyed your review very much. You have a great presentation personality. You touched on the cool feature of the looper that most people don't mention - that you can record a loop and tweak your rig against it - with no guitar. It's actually recorded completely clean, so you can apply any effect or profile against it without even picking up your guitar again.
At first I didn't hear a difference from bias fx 2 and bias fx because I had the bias amp 2 inside bias fx already. Because of this video I started messing with bias fx 2 again and have to say it's really great. I used some Celestion IRs different from the one you can buy from positive grid and they really were the game changer for me. Getting tones as good as Fortin Neural DSP now but more versatility that the one trick pony Fortin is for djent.

I used a Roland keyboard amp for guitar, apparently keyboard amps are Full range, they have a bass and tweeter to be able to play all the notes on an 88 key, it does sound very cool.

For those who has not discovered it yet, you can if you have a fast computer open up at least four different rigs at the same time by open yet another and another and another and another bias FX2 and you can then change and modify each one of them from the same default to four different, you can then save them with a specific naming to use in different combinations, "Kalsson bass1 Karlsson Bass2 Karlsson Bass3 e.t.c e.t.c and combine later with somthing other saved so it may be " Karlsson bass1 Karlsson acoustic3 for example"(test your limit )and by regulating main volume on each get sounds you can not imagine. I have not read about anyone using this option.

I'm 67 & have played off & on as a hobbyist, or bedroom player for many years. I got back into playing again about six months ago and for some reason, I've really been getting into. I've been exploring my options other than traditional guitar/amp setup & this has pretty much convinced me to try it. I hope you do get back into it as it can be such a rewarding experience, mentally & emotionally speaking.

The biggest thing is FX 2 allows you to use the Celestion impulses, which originally could only be used with BIAS Amp. That's huge in my book because that's what really takes this plugin to the next level.

My question to you is I loose my touch screen with the desktop and was wondering what differences between the ios ipad top version (I forgot the package name) with amps and effects would I lose? For sure! it's just my guitar going directly into my interface which goes to Ableton (or your DAW) the interface also connects to the monitors. I record the DI track, and add the BIAS FX 2 VST onto that track

I just got the full package... Like everything.
Still use BFX2 with Bias Pedal, and the metal pack and I absolutely love it. Even though it crashes Ableton occasionally lol. So much diversity

I have the ipad version. I live to use it with a real speaker cabinet. Just make sure to turn the speaker sim in the app off.
Are the versions of bias 2 separate for iPad and daw/computer or one in the same

There is a HUGE difference in terms of not having some sounds in cheaper versions

@@Preston_M. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe that's BiasFX 1 on the mobile and isn't compatible with FX2 yet? I could be wrong though.

Audio interface is what plays the biggest role here which a lot of reviewers seem forget to mention, if you have crappy cheap interface it will dound nowhere near to this.
