Does answer the question as to what will be the standard for high speed charging. [Looks at Xpeng's chargers and cars, and the sheer numbers produced.] Yup, it's obvious!
Is it possible to get an update, with current prices in China? I really like this car, but the price in Norway is 660K NOK for a fully loaded G9 AWD Performance with out taxes and winter wheels. An G9 AP is priced the same as starting price of the BMW iX40 and close to starting price of Audi Q6 Quattro. After haggeling on a new BMW iX50 with all bells and whistles (tow hich, B&W, laser lights, 22"s etc. all assists etc.) the Xpeng 9 performance will be priced 30% under it. The G9 has been on sale here for about a year now and is a rare sight. A lot of consumers got burnt by Fisker bankrupcy and the resell value of a new brand is never going to be great. So I fear at least for now undercuting with 30% is just not enough. But I have a sneaky feeling Xpeng is charging a massive premium on exports to Norway or the Norwegian Xpeng importer are being to gready on their end.
It seems to me that the rationale for personal vehicles does not really exist for most people. The monthly cost compared to distance travelled seems ridiculous. The future will most likely have efficiently sized people moving vehicles. Capacity will be 7-10 people, and the vehicles will network with each other to form small trains that could easily handle rush hour loads and then go off somewhere to charge up. There will be surplus capacity for people to have quick responses for local errand running etc. This will obviously require a reconceptualization of how we move large numbers of people in short windows of time. It's great that the 'elites' are willing to be the beta testers for technology to be used in everyday vehicles!
@@rogerstarkey5390 It's way better than Tesla's dumb cruise control lol all Chinese companies are on level 4 or level 5 already while Tesla is still bluffing about being stuck on level 2.
Funny how this review on Fully Charged doesn't appear to fully understand basic economic concepts when questioning why the more luxury G9. It is almost required that auto manufacturers also have more expensive vehicles that in turn, have much higher margins for additional profit for the company's viability. It cannot be just about feel-good inexpensive mandates as much as being about commercial long-term capital sustainability for survival.
I dont think this car is gonna rock the waters as much as proclaimed in this video. The problem with the luxury market is that brand image is so so important for these buyers that you cannot enter the market and win over customers by just having better specs. It takes a long time to acquire the reputation needed to really compete against rivals like Merc, BMW, Audi, Porsche.
Many Toyota ICE cars easily last more than 30 years in Africa. My question is what's the story with Electric cards? Are they friendly? Are they built to last a while?

@@malcolmlane-ley2044 As opposed to the non expensive gas powered Range Rover? In the US the lowest trim Range Rover starts just above 100k USD. This G9 starts at like 45k, and tops out at 65k.

Pretty good content. There seems to be color grading missing at 10:10
Curious why the self driving system was not demonstrated
It seems to me that the rationale for personal vehicles does not really exist for most people. The monthly cost compared to distance travelled seems ridiculous. The future will most likely have efficiently sized people moving vehicles. Capacity will be 7-10 people, and the vehicles will network with each other to form small trains that could easily handle rush hour loads and then go off somewhere to charge up. There will be surplus capacity for people to have quick responses for local errand running etc. This will obviously require a reconceptualization of how we move large numbers of people in short windows of time. It's great that the 'elites' are willing to be the beta testers for technology to be used in everyday vehicles!
fantastic EV SUV, especially the XP pilot, NGP is far far more attractive than Tesla Autopilot for me
It IS Tesla Autopilot. (Bootleg version)
@@rogerstarkey5390 It's way better than Tesla's dumb cruise control lol all Chinese companies are on level 4 or level 5 already while Tesla is still bluffing about being stuck on level 2.
Robert. in UK came across a company called CO CHARGER. It may be some thing you should look into...
很专业的解说,很细心的讲解知识
What computing platform is it based on? Nvidia Drive?
They are not selling it in Finland though
Many Toyota ICE cars easily last more than 30 years in Africa. My question is what's the story with Electric cards? Are they friendly? Are they built to last a while?
Why does it have such a large front bonet but just 70 lts?
Love the front end! The 5G antenna will stop you getting the full rearward range of the roofrails!
I'd have loved to see it going up a 45° grassy slope.... 👍
too much screen inside and no HUD, the absence of which is a show stopper for me (also the problem with Tesla & Lucid)
I am living in SZ and I am still waiting for one of these brands to come out with a 7 seater MPV similar to a Honda Odyssey or stepwagen for my family of 5
Looks great and the price is very reasonable .
I wish it had ccs instead of chademo for dcfc
So why does it have Polestar logos on it?
Cool car but I want China to build smaller cars. Not those cheap ones. Car for the middle class, modern, high-tech, compact for the city, and as much range as you can possibly fit.
It doesn’t matter how good an Xpeng is, a Range Rover driver wont have one.
perhaps not but a Jaguar F-Pace driver might prefer one over a Land Rover because it offers EV performance, great range and it passes the "labrador-in-the-back" test and just because it's not a Land Rover, Audi or BMW.
Whilst I like it I’ll still be driving a Range Rover until they make the new fully electric one too expensive for me to have no choice
😂 xpeng vtols may make it happen
@@malcolmlane-ley2044 As opposed to the non expensive gas powered Range Rover? In the US the lowest trim Range Rover starts just above 100k USD. This G9 starts at like 45k, and tops out at 65k.
I worry we will of JLR don't come up with a proper full EV before either this or the US Rivian reach our shores.
I like that Xpeng is taking a page out of the Tesla Playbook by introducing their own dedicated brand of chargers across China. Perhaps they will eventualy place them where Xpeng sells their cars.
It is a beautiful car I have to say. Thanks for the Video.
With the G9,we can get 200 kilometers of range on a 5-minute charge.
Great review, my only concern is when if ever we see these in the UK.
Is this going to be sold outside of China?
Still my favourite reviewer next to Bob.
With G9, you can get 200km range in just 5 minutes charge.
With NIO you can swap an entire battery in about 5 minutes. :)
Where is front passanger air bag :)
If I could afford this I'd have it tomorrow as it would greatly do my family. Great boot space which is what I want but do a cheaper version of this without all that tech please.
whats the difference between X9 and G9?
There's a rule on the Internet.
If a video title or article headline asks a question... then the answer is "no".
(Because if the answer is "yes" then the title would just state it as a fact. So the question mark means "probably not" and, thus, "no".)
is there a website?
A good start is normally
1) Turn on that "Googly thing"
2) Type "XPeng" ?
6:56 correction: Range is 650 Km (not 650 Km/h
6:30 Absolutely right. 2024款入门价格降低到了260k左右,我反正是认证在考虑这辆车了
Strangely it's much less spaceous than a Model Y, but that says more about Model Y than about G9.
Luxury wagons (all of which are ICE or PHEV) also offer more cargo space, though.
Good looking car
Will it be available in ICE
0:36 Song?
There's nothing "Utility" about driving up a paved road with some turns in it.
Well I hope China enjoy their car.
