I can tell you what caused this, a poorly maintained ship and a poorly protected bridge.

Catastrophic chain of events started in the Early 1970's when somebody decided to build a bridge crossing the entrance to a busy port with ZERO consideration for protection against collision. If such protection had been built into the bridge then the Dali would have been a page 2 story for a day or two.(Cargo ship loses power and runs aground. Expected to be refloated on the next high tide) But money was saved. Possibly changed hands, no protection was built into the bridge supports and 6 men are dead and the local economy has been hit for millions in losses.

As an Indian citizen, I request US government to provide the crew with basic needs. The crew is still stuck inside the ship, unable to contact the outside world. Their mobiles have been taken away by the US Government officials. The US government should provide the crew with the basic needs like food, water, medicines, etc. The truth is, the crew is not getting their basic needs. It's becoming a mental turmoil for the crew. It will surely affect the crew physically and psychologically.

Why the crew of Dali ship is not seen nowhere? Who they are where they are how they operate Dali when not bein empowered but push by other crews in boats from outside. Why they hide do they exist? How they lived on Dali with no power how it works their living there. We know nothing of pirats. Are they saved? Nothing is known and published. How do you work for their security no faces , no people shown, no information. Is that law to stay on ship as the yo not belong to the USA. Are they going to be charge or sent to where. How it works for such situation for foreign people on ships. What is their future when they stay out of Dali. They allowed to on their ship that many people and works nobody talk with them. They are responsible for braking into their merchandise on their ship why they do not cooperate but hide on ship but where? Are there laws for such reason and which one. Did they have enough food refrigerators did not work also water tanks or stoves showers can you inform of destiny and living there? No words is heard from the news. Are they there on Dali still how they operate it when nothing works there already from time Dali hit the bridge. Who is stupid? 5.22.2024 5:08pm esent back to Christ by Mary V.

It's not amazing feat of engineering. These incidences happen many times between 1860 and 1920 and normally it was resolved within 2 weeks tops.

Gee all that time, the ship is still broken? I know they can't fix the ship as it's under investigation. If the ship left port that broken how was it to take it's voyage to deliver it's cargo? Before it hit the bridge. Had it made it past the bridge it would have been out at sea broken. And still could have run into heck knows what? Sorry I don't know cargo ships system. I do however know well that aircraft and big ships have back up systems. Seems like the back up systems may have let this ship down, gee wonder if they were all being maintain correctly? Admittedly arm chair speculations at best....

100 years ago that would have just been scrapped in place and it would have been resolved in 2 weeks.

Love how now they use tugboats so the ships don't hit the bridge after it already fell. 😂

Notice that it took 5 tug boats to move the ship at 1 mph. Not something practical for every ship every day when it hasn't been a problem for over 40 years.

Don't feel bad about your coverage CBS we know
you don't have proper access. If you could find out
how many containers been removed since The Dali
arrived at the bulkhead you'll have a hot take.

Where was that tugboat with which pilot leading Dali out of the port as each ship is helped this way. Why do you lie news. To cover what needed. And critical point - the bridge- is abandon by which pilot. Why Dali needs electric power when tugboat serves for pulling ship. And pilot supposes to be Ukrainian and why? Why mobiles where taken from Dali's crew by US government is any document of it by news. All must be straighten for such crime is not allow and cause additional charges with it too. Who is investigating and not given no informing from own findings. If they found any. No crew exists by your no news. What a mess. We do not know nothing ever in truth given. The truth is always the best policy people and newsmen should know that as the first and fight for it as newsman's duty. Which crew shall be judged or what happened to that Dali's crew. Who you desire to fool. Am I missing something? and why? Less we know who owns America. 5.22.2024 5:59PM 5.22.2024 esent back to my Savior.
