Thanks for sharing, Mike! I had mixed emotions for the rebuild. Definitely prefer OG. I think it was the second film I had enjoyed the most of the 3-4 films released. On a separate note, I almost get the inverse impression, that often among the younger anime fans tend to be remarkably cultured. The issue I have often observed, is clout chasing. Everybody is a would-be authority on something. As a result I often will enjoy a I.P. or genre and ironically end-up despising its own fan-base. Thats why I consider Anime/Manga a guilty pleasure for me. Same for Video Games. In my entire life I haven't ever self described as a gamer, only a guy who happens to play video games. Despite the fact that I would certainly qualify as a gamer. Sorry for the tangent. Evangelion is probably my favorite anime, if not terribly close to it. I love it so much I even own a number of the import games from Japan. Including the Rei dating sim on Dreamcast. Its pretty shameless. Rei waifu-army represented! The Intro by Yoko Takahashi alone is worth the price of admission. I'm also abit of a Wargammer and have been planing on making a couple EVA inspired models for a couple of the mecha games I happen to play, complete with pilots. A couple being inspired by everyone's favorite clone/catalyst and tsundere. Thanks again for your video. It seems like a decent catch!
Fantastic anime. I saw the original 90s series on Netflix in 2020 and was phenomenal. Still have yet to watch the others. I tried a movie one on Prime this pass summer but it was late and I fell asleep. It seems good. Might throw it on tn actually lol. Thanks for the vid! 🫡
