- From the mid 70's, this has the disposable stylus and cartridge assembly. Presumably a special complete assembly was needed to play 78's, as the stylus for 33/45's is far too small. This is a very basic set in some ways, but has a good tone. It puts out about 3 watts RMS per channel.
A beautiful record player and record
Hooray, a new upload!
You have a knack of putting on good music with your demonstrations. Lovely to see you back again!
Nice unit River, glad to see you back and take care of yourself!
Good to see your video River
Take Care of yourself
Good to see you back River. Arthritis is such a B*****d innit!
I know I shouldn't laugh really, but that "I haven't dropped dead, it just looks that way sometimes" line really got me :-D Thanks for putting a smile on my face :-)
I often wonder just how many sound systems you have in each room of your house, do you keep them all?
i had this one :) as a child :D
What transistors would you recommend please? And would i need replace 4 of them or im looking at the wrong things in its tammy 😊
Thank you
I have one of these little beauties. But the sound doesn't come out of the speakers anymore....I can faintly hear it within the unit itself, my speakers are ok as I have tested them on another unit. Is this an easy fix?
In the abscence of any nasty burnt electronic smells, it'd seem to me that the AC 187 AND AC 188 Output transistors have died of tin whiskers. It's the output transistors that drive the speakers. Repair's easy enough for the likes of myself, but the transistors MUST be a " Matched Pair " for best performance. What you're hearing is the mechanical sound the pickup makes itself, sounding off like one of those old horn gramophones. I do have a small stock of transistors, so could probably fix it, but can't promise LOL.
@@riverhuntingdon6659 Many thanks River! I have sourced a pair of old stock and will replace them after first trying your little tip of tapping them. It'll be a change from cap and resistors in guitar amps!! LOL
@@riverhuntingdon6659 Just an update for you River.....There were two pairs of transistors attached behind some rather large heatsinks. I removed the heatsinks and tapped them and hey presto it worked. However when the heatsinks were re attached the output disappeared again. So again the heatsinks were taken off and it works again.....so off they'll stay.
