konami was great in the 80s and early 90s for arcade games but i must say that konami ruled on the snes and n64 for the titles they released, was great times playing all these games and well done for making my childhood a magical one ❤❤❤
I completely forgot about games like Green Beret and Jail Break, Konami really did make some fantastic games.
nowadays, it's hard to even think that this Konami ever existed. A company that delivered the best games in the business
They did great with sprite based games but they never developed well into the 3D polygon era of videogames of the late 90s.
@@pizzacrumz1777 Um... Metal Gear Solid games?
Yup, konami used to stand kick ass gaming.
Run n Gun 2 was amazing. Spent the summer of 97 in the arcades playing that game non stop
contra, sunset riders and and iron horse are absolute masterpieces
temannopellaria Hell yeah!!!!
They were the most populars, but not "masterpieces".
@@EzequielFerrari22 Sure my little noob.
@@AshtarSheran1 I'm sorry if I bursted your bubble of delusion to call me noob, but I'm not, I'm being REAL and if you can't handle it, then you're the noob one. Greetings.
6 player X-Men was such a fun event when you could get that going.
Oh hell yes! it's too bad such an awesome arcade no longer exists...
@@mugentaisen6754 Some do. Unfortunately, you really have to go looking for them and more often than not, they're in major cities.
we had a 6-player at my local Aladdins Castle. TNT Entertainment has a video showing them packing up the arcade cab to ship somewhere and its pretty interesting how Konami made it able to break down and how it displayed the double screen
*RAAAAHHHHHHHH* 💥💪💥
Once upon a time, Konami was king of the (gaming) world.
It's debatable, Capcom was king of the gaming world as well.
Now it is the King of NOTHING!!!!
@@4sakend1 In March they will be king of the PC Engine/Turbografx-16 mini consoles. It's a small kingdom, but it is theirs.
Konami shaped our youth.
No Capcom and atari
Saludos!!
This is a great video! There are SO MANY Konami classics I forgot about. Thanks for this post.
I really loved how Konami would nopt only make great arcade games (and creative ones too, I mean, who'd thought The Simpsons and Asterix would make such amazing beat 'em ups), but would go the extra mile to add something new to home ports (if mostly to excuse the lesser quality), like bonus levels and bosses in the TMNT beat 'em ups.

You CANNOT do a Konami list of arcade games without mentioning Dance Dance Revolution and the Bemani series. That’s ignoring one of the FEW things they still actually put out in arcades now.
Simpsons arcade and Turtles in Time were my absolute childhood favorites. :)
P.S. Arcade 1up is Coming out with a Simpsons Arcade Cabinet as well.
To this day it still boggles my mind why that game was never ported to Sega or SNES.
Like. Gran video recopilatorio.
Jackal was one of the true greats of the time for a shooter like that. Me and some neighborhood kids use to play it a LOT back on the Nintendo version.
I enjoy ALL of your videos so much! Thank you for everything and keep up the excellent job!
Daaammn, just awakened forgotten memories of spending all my dads change in the pub on Frogger when that clip came up!
There's a few noticeable games missing here, like the original Twinbee, and Taisen Puzzle Dama, as well as Tokimeki Memorial Taisen Puzzle Dama. But other than that, nice job.
KONAMI ARCADE forever
A proud look at Konami's arcade history. How sad they are but a mere shell of themselves today.
26:48 My childhood.
31:31 This one, too.
I wish we would get a Konami Beat em up collection like the Capcom one that was release a lil while ago. Metamorphic Force, Bucky Ohare, Turtles, X-Men, Simpsons - I know that would be a licensing nightmare but I can dream.
Wow Konami Gt looks great for 1985 and WEC Lemans from 1986 too, very Impressive for this time
I tried to get every Konami game (silver cartridge) I could find. Maybe other than The Adventures of Bayou Billy, they didn’t make a flop, and you can even enjoy parts of it. If you were good enough to make it into later levels if the game, there are some awesome graphics and fun game play. On the NES had no competition, I secretly always wanted to see their version of a baseball and football game. I wonder what we would have ended up with, because Blades of Steel and Double Dribble can still be enjoyed today, depending on what you’re looking to experience and enjoy. The first time my guy threw his gloves down and their was a whole separate game with a fight meter for health I was blown away!!!! Konami was so far ahead of the others. Some of their NES games graphically are superior to many SNES games, that’s how well they utilized what that had to work with as far as bits and memory and sprites etc. For those who aren’t old enough, during this time period circa 1988, you could only go by the art work on the box, or pick games because of the silver box. To this day it’s the only Games I bought strictly because of the company making the games, before and after I have never truly considered buying a game because of the company that produced it. Good luck and best wishes to anyone looking to go back and enjoy these gems for the first time. Castlevania Symphony of the Night on the PS1 is a descendant of these early Castlevanias and in my opinion one of the top 25 games ever made!!!!
Solo mirar estos juegos me trae recuerdos y me transporta a mi niñez
I like the fact that you can watch this post, look at the games and say to yourself. " I remember that game!". Rather you played on an old Atari, NES, SNES or a Sega Genesis..it doesn't matter simply reflect and go back in time of nostalgia.
Games like Konami GT must've blown people's minds in 1985.
The final round and devastators. Almost forgot about those two games.
My Top 10 My Favorite Konami Arcade Games of All-Time

Very nice video. It lacks Konami Ping Pong and laserdisc games like Bad Lands.
What a great compilation!
Run & Gun 2 is the greatest NBA basketaball game ever made ( along with NBA Jam T.E. and Hangtime ).
rock n rage and contra were very good games for their time. thing about 80s games could not be replicated on home computer. so it was a joy either to go to chippy to play one or two arcade games. or wait to go to seaside to arcade for over 30 or more different arcade games.
My how the mighty have fallen.:-(
It happens even to the best.
Devastators, I have been looking for the name of this game for ages tracking thru UA-cam videos. Great game I was well good at it. 😂😎
Frogger is the first video game machine I ever played. I remember I had absolutely no idea what was going on in that game and I kept asking my dad for more coins
is Dance Dance Revolution on this video!! DDR really saved the arcades from shutting down but eventually DDR lost buzz and arcades starting closing. Also online gaming was the nail in the coffin for the arcades.. remember when we used to stand in line just to play Mortal Kombat!!
_Top 3!_
1 - Silent Hill Pachinko.
2 - Metal Gear Solid Pachinko.
3 - "One of their other games that nobody else in the last decade has cared about" Pachinko!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons arcade and X-Men arcade by Konami
Tmnt and Simpson's arcade was absolutely amazing I remember playing them in coral island in Blackpool (UK)
I couldn't agree more!
I didn't know Konami did X-Men Arcade
That’s crazy had no idea konami made those 3. Was always under the assumption they were by another company.
@@runitback5066 For sure , Konami was a big deal and my favorite as a kid in the late80s early 90s on nes/arcade
Yeah I'm back for more GAMING memories cool stuff 😎.

I Know I May get Blasted for Saying this But, Konami was the King of the Arcade Beat-Em-Up Genre Back Then.
one of the greatest arcade game developers of all time, she only produced games that there is no way to say that they are bad
Simple yet effective, hooked in the 80s and 90s.
Awesome video :) Now I gotta find time to play all these lol!!
37:52 X-Men The Arcade Game. You should put video of this with up to 6 players, for this particular game.

How come I never heard of Run and Gun ? That game looked pretty cool .
A Basket Ball game called Run and Gun.........................
you can see the decline after like 94-95
arcade-wise, maybe. There were a lot of great stuff on ps1 and 2 - MGS, Project Overkill(a fav of mine that doesnt get the shine it deserves) Gradius series, especially 5 (and the GBA one is pretty great too), Suikoden 1 - 5. There are plenty more.
Cody Gifford like that cartoon, COW boys
Yo bro. You should have a THANKS button. Cheers :)
The main event!! Blades of steel!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder if konami will follow in capcom's footsteps....
Look the Konami back then, and look what Konami is doing now, sigh......
OMG!!! I hope arcade 1-up release all of these!!!!!!!
There is like literally 200+ 1970s - 1990s Konami arcadr games.

Some are available, you can at least get Gradius 1 and 2 on PS4. Far far too many not for sale though.

What time and passion flows into such compilation work. And people give thumbs down. Morons.
I love you Konami Forever
Yay for Monster Maulers!
