      Amps kill you if the volts are high enough to deliver high enough amps to you

    Thank you so much for making this! I have also been experimenting with/taking lithium ion battery packs apart to reclaim the cells for use in other experiments, I have a Redback 120v battery pack that won't charge and was taking it apart to figure out what was wrong with it, I was very afraid and very careful with the 120 volts, but this makes me feel a lot better! I was afraid to touch the terminals like you did, you are very brave! :)

    I love the bms. You charge all the cells individually. Thus no balancing required. However if one breaks????

    I’ve felt 120v but 240v never felt it and don’t plan to

  • @idontwantcorporateretaliat6301

    It's easy to get hands sweaty (think after gloves) so the skin voltage barrier safety recommendations may be accounting for that. The times I've gotten zapped by an exposed 120v AC light switch has been after washing my hands or something like that. Be careful.

  • @phizicks
    @phizicks 2 роки тому

    it has no effect because your body is more like a capacitor than a resistor, so high frequencies you conduct more where on DC, you are effectively charge like a bad capacitor. so you might get a small zap but quickly dissipates.

    I am no child prodigy but I am pretty sure that Ac Will hurt more because of the higher frequency. For example, a battery should have a frequency of around 0 Hz but the AC power from your house outputs around 50-60 Hz. Just remember the bigger the Hertz the more it hurts.

    hi.im trying to test a cordless parkside impact wrench.the battery is dead just 1500mah cells were inside.theres is 3 terminals on bms that i scrapped that side onto drill that has 2 terminals + and _ .im using a 22volt 18650 battery i made for my 18v dealt drill.but the parkside drill is not working when i press switch on drill.

    • @vuaeco
      @vuaeco  4 роки тому

      Does it have more than 2 terminals on the impact wrench? If it does, then the 3rd terminal might be for communications and without proper wiring to the OEM board, it won't run.

    • @stevemcgowan3017
      @stevemcgowan3017 4 роки тому

      Only 2 on the wrench but 3 on the Battery that slides onto it

    • @massawalawson6144
      @massawalawson6144 4 роки тому

      Hi Steve - have you tried using one less cell in the 22v pack? It may help to more closely match the original voltage.
      TL/DR: you're probably tripping the over voltage protection circuit.

    Try it with damp fingers please!! Or better yet,a little nick/cut on your finger touching the terminals. I get zaps from my 48V battery pack. Your succeptability to electric shocks depend on a lot of factors, imo this is a misinformed and dangerous video.
