A Farmers Way: Always a Change in Plans | I’m Mowing down Alfalfa! |

In todays Episode of The Chronicles of Kayla its a lot of change in plans .. and it wouldn't be farming if we didn't need to cram as much as possible during day light hours right?!!? .. I start my day with the 4H Show Calves - watering, haying & then running my little semi around for Jason to load out some hay with ... a swift change up has me in the MF 5S.145 mowing down the alfalfa with the Steel on Steel Mower Conditioner 1393 -- after I lay down hay - I head back to jump into the ol 4440 and run the disk across the acres at the house so that we can prep for SOYBEANS?!?!!?

Had to move the fenders in on my 4020 for the loader. Don't have room on the fender , to give you a ride! When I had cattle I decided a stanley utility knife with a retractable blade worked best for net wrap. Kayla , when I was 10 or 12 yrs old dad told me this. When the weevils get in your alfalfa you can mow it , that would stop them. That was about 60 yrs ago. Have a good day!

They’re from a pond - - however we have not plumbed the cattle barn yet. So we still have to haul water.
