Was the original problem that the heat from the header or exhaust was causing the fluid in the line or the cylinder to overheat, causing brake fade? Or are the stock cylinders just faulty? Thanks.
@@NicovanderSteen Got it. Thank you. I am looking at a couple of used models, so your information is most appreciated. One of them already has the brake line routed like your fix.
I have an 07 RSV will this Ducati master cylinder work on the 2nd Gen. I apologize, I don't know what year you have. Now that you got the new brake line would you change it any way or are you happy with the length, offset, etc?
wonder.. why don't you swap the position of the banjo and bleed nipple.. banjo go the lower point.. and bleed nipple swap to the higher place.. some1 recommended to do the swapping position as well..

.... wel even subscriben op mijn kanaal he ;-)
Hi Nico, good video on the rear brake problem, did replacing the master cylinder fix the problem? or did you find it still needs bleeding every now & then?
Hi Pat,It still works, I did bleed it after mounting the new one. And after driving a season, it still brakes. there is only one thing.... I want to have it braking better. So after the winter I will put an other type/brand of oil in it. (with a higher dry braking point).I will put that in a new vid in a couple of months ( with the procedure how to bleed the rear brake.I'm thinking of also putting new brake pads on... current are 10 years old...
Of inclusief? Keep up the good work!!
easier answer is to hang a weight on the brake pedal when not using it, I put 7 lb weight on it and it works, never have to bleed it and the rear brake is perfect on the standard cylinder, saves all the greif of doing this,
Gonna do this to my Tuono upcoming weeks, after 4 years i am done with having - rear brake. Great video Nico!
Really helpful video, I just picked up a 2000 Mille R and definitely need to do this swap. The rear brake is 100% useless right now.
yep... it's the same with all of them ...
Good luck in modifying it.
The vid will help you !
Hi Nico, superb video!! I’ve done this modification. Excellent rear brake now, thanks to you 😀
You're Welcome ! Great to hear these kinds of comments...
For those who look for the same master brake cylinder it's a Brembo 625.4.018.1B
Great video Nico, thanks for making it :)
Thanx !
in about march i think i will bleed the rear brakes (for the new season). I will make a video of that for the procedure..

It's the heat that causes the problems.
the stock cylinders are also brembo and just fine. But the placement and therefore the heat is causing issues.

@@WillfulThinker or else you’ll fix it with my vid as a guide.
Did anyone try to solve this issue by manufacturing some sort of heat shield?

Hi is the measurement 73cm measured from the middle of each banjo?
Yes, middle - middle
@@NicovanderSteen thanks very much. Mod is now in progress.

Really good Video, thanks for the Upload :)
I assume it is the same brakepump from the 848 1098 1198 series (maybe adding a partno.)
Hi, thanx!
i'll get into the partno.... I bought a second hand one..... need to dig into it.
When I get the partno, I will add it in the comments
Have u got a part nr for the line u got mate?
And where did u order?
there is no specific partno for it. it's because it's custom made. 73 cm line included 2 banjo's (heart-heart)
