It was great, but it's always been good and it still pretty much is. What I don't like as much is almost the entire district's teams getting into the playoffs. It's so watered down now and the first round of the playoffs is no longer fun to watch with the 60-0 type scores ruling the day.
Went to JC in Dallas area to play baseball.....being from West Texas we could claim football prowess back in the day. Really special....things have really shifted. We didn't have a football program but guys from all around the state talked about their hs teams. Most of our guys were from DFW. Enjoyed hearing them speak of the places and people that were part of their life....crazy as it is....I would reminisce by watching the show Cheaters because they'd show different areas of DFW. Wishing everyone peace from West Texas 🙏
Monster thanks for putting the Duncanville- Carter Video into Space and UA-cam! It is a pain to find Older Games into Space, and I don't know this was the biggest slide rule before it was run out of course later? I could name examples, but, this is not the time and place. Speaking of Space, I feel that the ads are better thought through in this period. Many thanks again.
Back when Duncanville had white people by 2000 both schools were predominantly black we never played Carter because the school district thought there would be too many fights before during and after the game
Like Katy. When I moved to Texas in 1994 to finish my last two years of High School in the Houston area....you could count on one hand the number of Black people on Katys team and probably the school. First title game I saw in Texas was the 1994 Plano-Katy game. Now in 2023 I wouldn't say Katy is predominantly black, but its a good 50-50. Same is happening up here in Montgomery County at The Woodlands. The problem in the Woodlands is the coaches. They're TERRIBLE. No way The Woodlands should be a second round exit every year. The Woodlands is the Houston version of Austin Westlake and Southlake Carroll with nothing to show with all that damn talent. I'm black, but I've seen the demographics change around Houston. North Shore has been the one constant. Always been predominantly Black and Hispanic and always had a CRAZY amount of never ending talent and high participation.
Your Mom the movie wasn’t real carter didn’t play Permian in the state championship it was Judson high school Permian lost in the semi finals 14-9 to carter go look it up
Carter had the most talented team and like 30 d1 players lol. Yates 85 team had the best team as they dominated everyone. Carter had some close games and didn't score a lot on offense but they were still dominate especially on defense.
Love watching high school football games from the 80’s,90’s, And early 2000’s. It was better back then..
Yeah im From Michigan .but i must admit Texas football is some of best in country
Yep heck football period was at its best in these times

Man I am so glad you posted this! I love these memories and love this team!
Now Duncanville the powerhouse
Crazy how that works
Duncanville has always produced athletes.
@@thefoxdoctor1072 Yes they have and hopefully they continue to.
Duncanville has the players that would’ve been carter cowboys had disd not collapsed just like Allen has the swagger and players Plano used to have
@@thefoxdoctor1072Desoto produces more atheletes.

I wasn’t even born yet when this game was posted. 😆
Them boyz from carter was huge ... .that team was different. Every once un a while teams form naturally to dominate and thats exactly what they did..

When I was in Duncanville 86-90 there were a few blacks but mainly white.

I wish they had the Desoto vs Carter game in 1993. Desoto blew them out.
Lol now people can see how good Carter really was Friday Night lights was a lie
I mean not really the only reason they lost was cause of penalties and bad choices as stated in the movie

Carter and Yates in the 80s where suburbia's nightmare hence no pass no play rule after Yates 85 ship

White folks white-flighted on out of Duncanville and must have gone north to Plano or Frisco.
Bunch of criminals at Carter high lol
Imagine Smu no death penalty getting the puck if the litter in dfw for the whole 80’s and 90’s
