I enjoyed the presentation alot more this year. The cameras angles were so much better. Really enjoyed the wide scope / zoomed out shots on some of the sections. It gives a better impression of the scale and steepness these guys up dealing with, absolutely wild.
I was surprised to hear a female voice as an announcer; really enjoyed the races listening to the two of them! They're both super insightful and passionate about the sport. What an insane invent!

Jackson Goldstone went straight-up BEAST MODE on his rune!! Almost flawless from top to bottom, really. Those Whistler / Squamish kids are a different breed.
Amazing, such an incredible event. Props to the riders, thanks to all the crew that give us the coverage of the event and make us feel like we're there. Having Jonno giving us the background footage, allowing us to see and hear and what the riders go through. Sports, for me, doesn't get better than this. What an incredible set of humans!
Gutted for Bernard, I really wanted him to win, especially after having the balls to get back on after that massive crash in practice, and qualify and race with a damaged hand... Mind you, it was probably the weight of his massive balls that caused the front wheel to explode when he landed...

Thanks to everyone who make this amazing event happened this year! Congrats to all riders especially to Goldstone and all the racers who brave this track! Your all insane! Yeah baby!
Rob and Rachel. What a perfect Sunday! Rachael 1:05:00. “No. Absolutely not! Unless it was in a world championship, then I’d do it.” Perfect. It’s why you’re the GOAT!
Huge respect to everyone involved in making this unique race happen. In particular the sheer bravery of the riders is unfathomable. I loved hearing Rob Warner getting psyched during the fastest runs 🙌🏻
Wow what an amazing Red Bull hardline yet again congratulations to Jackson Goldstone first time and he wins well some kid but for me to riders stand out Bk After that crash and then destroying the field by 3 seconds In qualifying is crazy but rider of the event has to go to Gee Atherton After all he’s been through and it’s still not fully healed absolutely a legend
@@emisci Not my fault I’m only commenting what I saw and I came to the live stream late I thought it was on at 1pm but obviously they change Time for some reason I put it on at 1 o’clock which was already 30min in
Absolutely fantastic event. I am sooo happy to see Gee back on the bike. That is one tough focused dude. Congrats brother! Congrats also, Jackson is the future for sure! His smooth stylish speed is unreal!!…🤟
How many World Cup riders pass up on the Hardline race because of the risk of injury? No shame in that, but props to the ones that do, potentially putting their careers on the line.
I wish they'd give riders who crash a second run! Would've loved to see how fast a clean run would've been from Bernard this year. But it's exciting to see another historical run made by someone at Hardline!
I think it's best not to ride after a wreck. It chips away at your confidence, no matter how good you are. Just not a good idea putting anyone back out there if they're not feeling their best. There'd also be too much pressure, mostly that they put on themselves, but you have sponsors they don't want to let down. Plus logistically it wouldn't work. You might need a quick medical checkup, and what happens if it's the final racer? Both him and and bike are gonna need a checkup, so by the time they back to the start it could take an hour.
Guess I'll be tuning into Hardline and ?? what ever Rob commentates. I just don't think Discovery is going to get anyone close. Rob is THE VOICE of mtb.
I know nothing about MTB but that winning run looked like it was on a totally different level. I don’t know how any of the bigger dudes with bigger bikes can ever compete when that young guy can just fall meters out of the sky to flat and take rocks like they’re nothing
I feel bad for the riders when they crash I'd rather see them go a little bit slower and make it all the way down great sportsmanship from the athletes
If you have never been up close to those bikes they are beasts. From afar the the frame and forks look small, but those bikes run massive forks at 36mm. The tires are 3.6” wide.
Sucks Jackson can't defend is title this year ... I watch this at least once a month and it's still unbelievable to me. Never seen anyone accelerate coming outta the berms like he does
Mark my words, Jackson will go down as the greatest of all time. Don't get me wrong, he's a longgggg fuckin way from being there, but if he stays motivated and persistent, and he will, he will be the greatest of all time in the future. Check this comment in 20 years
I have a question, as a non mountain biker...yet... I keenly watch this in awe. These massive jumps, are they scientifically calculated as to where to put the take off and landing..... Or are they just built with a rough knowledge of where you will land. Hope it's not a silly question and somebody could enlighten me. It's fascinating to watch, I'm a big fan. Cheers
How about some comments on the bikes and their equipment such as brakes tyers rims etc. it a excellent commentary, but a little info would be nice, the sponsors would like it to
Rachel is really good at commentating, lots of insight and a natural at communicating the mindset of the riders and how to ride this track.
She’s superb. Great commentary and personality!
agreed
She’s amazing! At times her voice sounds like Jen from the IT crowd.
Absolutely agree. Rachel needs to be doing more commentating if she isn't racing.
Po
goldstone run was INSANE
No doubt. Do you think he can win the dh this year?
No he crashed
Rachel is perfect for commentary!!! I trust her analysis 100% and her voice is soothing to my brain :)
18 and winning this! What a mad lad! Epic event.

Great having Rachel in the booth!
Vincent Tupin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My god what a show ride insane performance !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Feel emotional for Jackson , this guy lives on a bike, dream big little man, deserves this : )
Brilliant. Rob and Rachel are a great commentary duo 👌
Loved the commentary
Crazy that Gee does Hardlinevas his first one back 🤯 awesome to see him nail it 😎
Rachel Atherton is so good on the commentary!!! Those 2 make a good pair.

18 years old and first time at this race!? Jackson Goldstone is a beast! Insane riding from all these guys! 🤘

Sick run Jackson 🔥
@Red Bull Bike. - Those jumps are simply out of this world !! Great event - will take part for sure in my afterlife !!🎉😂
Haha! RW- 'as a World Cup racer I don't ever remember setting my locations for shifting, did you Rache?' RA- 'That was a probably your problem.'

very great cinema and inspiring as well.

That was sick. Can’t wait for next year 🤘🤘
