Nice video, found this by pure chance - I find the arrangement columns to be too opaque even when playing with the colour settings; what's the best/clearer choice or theme to CLEARLY see the grid? Any ideas would be good!
Exactly same here. In 11 they finally added grid line options to make more visible. It's 11 though, looks like a totally different daw now. Small and tedious controls. It's exhausting to do any micro editing now. They changed the UI to get new customers.
Tbh I wondered how people could just do all that grey? So many amazing youtubers just have this awful grey shit everywhere, Mama Mia, put me off until I realized you could get more themes, just never saw anyone on YT using one? That's just weird, you can make it look well cool and thank God for that cos now I can use it without fear of sterilizing my eyes! xD

I want to register but always refuse when creating a password, the command "your password is weak". I have tried to use various words and letters but still refused. Can you explain how to register or fill in the correct Password so that there are no instructions like the above?
I believe it's one uppercase, one lowercase, a number and symbol and to be at least 8 characters long. It's made like that to ensure strong passwords but it's on the development list to get that relaxed a little.
Bro just noticed that when adjusting any theme from the website, the grid lines go thinner after exporting it back into Live? Anyone else have this issue? Cheers
I dont know. I know you went through all of this effort to change colors, so I dont mean this in any disrespectful way, but changing colors dont really do it for me. I have ableton and, regardless of what color everything is displayed, it still looks very flat and is a strain on the eyes. This is coming from a guy who started with FL Studio... BUT ty for at least showing us how to change it from default.
In Preferences on the Look and Feel Tab, the one we are talking about, right after language, I see "Don't Show Again" Warnings and then it gives me the option to Restore. I just ignore it but I can't seem to figure out what it is. Thanks!
You should be able to install them but they're not really setup to work fully with Ableton 11. The site does need to be upgraded but I just haven't got the time to work on the project at the moment.

Call me superficial, but after playing around and making three custom skins, I'm gonna bite the bullet and upgrade to Live 10 this year as a result...I've never been able to abide the colour scheme in Live 9...so that's a big thanks from me pal. 😜👍
No problem! Thankfully Ableton made the theme's in Live 10 in a much simpler, standardised format and I just haven't been able to crack making it backwards compatible with Live 9.
They do work in Live 11 but not fully optimised for it, there may be a few colours that are the defaults still. Unfortunately I've just not had time to make it fully Live 11 compatible just yet.

wow this many themes and all of them are free I can't believe it but I can't use them becaus I have a lover version :/

You can't unfortunately, that is hardcoded within the app

There are ways but it’s quite hacky! Try Googling and you’ll find a solution that involves replacing the fonts in the Ableton application
