Dont know if you guys gives a shit but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last days :)
Awesome that you got to collaborate with Rab on this, shows a lot of trust and respect from them. I just recently bought the Infinity jacket so thanks for your review on it which helped me decide!
Both will do the job just fine in super cold conditions! It may be worth noting that we currently have the Neutrino Pro All Black at 50% off though - I'll pop a link below. Kind regards, Harry. www.trekitt.co.uk/36189/products/rab-mens-neutrino-pro-jacket-all-black-edition.aspx
I have the old version of this, the Neutrino Endurance. I think they put less down in this new one so they could differentiate this from the Postiron Pro. The outer feels less tough, probably to save weight
I too own the "old" neutrino (non pro, from last year) and definitely can confirm your feelings. I've been in a shop today where they displayed both the Neutrino Pro and the Positron. My initial feelings were that the difference between the old neutrino and the Positron isn't worth the price, like (exactly what you said) they reduced the down in the new neutrino to make the price gap Neutrino ProVs Positron more acceptable
The Neutrino is a lot warmer, so it all comes down to how warm you need to be and what you're using the jacket for. I'd personally use the Electron for active use in freezing conditions and the Neutrino for static use. Harry
hello trekitt! is it neutrino pro jacket more bulky than the positron pro? i cant decide between both. I wanted to be still taking pictures in very cold conditions and maybe put a hardshell on top sometimes when snowing a lot.
The Positron Pro would be bulkier as it has 300g of 800fp down (Size Large) vs 212g of 800fp down (size Large) in the Neutrino. So the Positron will be warmer, but as a result will be bulkier. If you're going to be static in very cold conditions for extended time periods then the Positron may be more suitable, but bear in mind that the larger amount of insulation will also make it a tighter squeeze under a hardshell, unless you've factored in the fit to your shell sizing.
Hi, i cant decide between the women's electron pro or the neutrino pro for doing the three pass trek in nepal in November. For static use as i have the atom LT for active use. What would your recommendation be?
Hey! You guys made a video of the same jacket about a year ago. It was a trekkit exclusive?? Is this the same jacket new video? Or a completely new jacket?
We realised we may have been excluding people from the jacket due to the 'military' in the title, so we've changed its colour to 'all black' and re-filmed the video. Other than that, it's the same brilliant jacket! Kind regards, Harry.
Most likely. Depending on how warm you are generally and which routes you'll be doing, the warmest we'd go is Rab's Electron or possibly even the Microlight Alpine (both can be found via the links below). Kind regards, Harry. www.trekitt.co.uk/16819/products/rab-mens-electron-jacket-graphene.aspx www.trekitt.co.uk/35605/products/rab-mens-microlight-alpine-jacket-belugadijon.aspx
I'm afraid as this is a one-off jacket, we won't be getting anymore stock. A good alternative is the Infinity Light jacket which we have in a full range of sizes. I'll pop a link below. Kind regards, Harry. www.trekitt.co.uk/39208/products/rab-mens-infinity-light-jacket-black.aspx
They're both fairly similar, featuring almost exactly the same amount and quality of insulation and roughly the same outer fabric as well. It largely comes down to which one fits you best, however if it helps, we have both for 50% off at the moment (links below). Kind regards, Harry. @@timothyorourke7116 There are quite a few different weighs of fleece that'll make a big difference to your overall warmth. Your activity will also play a huge part. If you're just using the jacket for everyday use you may not be warm enough, but if you're alpine climbing you'll be much, much warmer. It all depends on your circumstances.
Hi Wira, the Neutrino Pro is by far the warmer jacket, it has 230g of 800 Fill Power European Goose Down, whilst the Microlight Alpine has 143g of 750 Fill Power European Goose Down.
Bought a couple of items from Trekitt this year including a rab neutrino pro, can't recommend them enough.

wish this all black was still available. Those mesh pockets are the most useful thing.

once again awesome review. which one do you suggest for daily usage Rab Neutrino Pro All Black Edition or Rab Axion?

Fantastic review. Needs a jacket for Moscow -20C. Will this work ?
Maybe! It all depends on what you are doing and what you are wearing underneath. Paul.
You'd better get a Rab Expedition 7000 jacket.
Tash coming on nicely sir.
Indubitably

I would opt for the Neutrino. The pack size isn't hugely dissimilar and you'll be glad you had some extra warmth in the evenings.
@@trekitt Thank you, will you be stocking the women's version any time soon?
@@fortheloveofhiking1778 I'm afraid not. Sorry. We'll have other alternatives available in a few months once our winter stock arrives, though.

This jacket or Mountain Equipment Lightline or Arcteryx Thorium AR?
Lightline and Neutrino definitely feel warmer. Neutrino would probably be my choice for ultimate warmth and a relatively small pack size. Harry
@@trekitt do you still have the all black version of this in stock?
Great review as always. Can we get this in the US?
Unfortunately not; we only ship to Europe. You most likely will be able to source the standard Neutrino Pro though. Kind regards, Harry.
Like your jacket
Where did u get it form
Hello Kevin, we're an outdoor retailer, so all of the products we film are from ourselves.
Which one is more warm Neutrino pro or Axion pro?
Really similar. I doubt you'd notice much difference. The Neutrino will be more packable though.
@@trekitt Thanks 👍
Will you be restocking this jacket?
Afraid not, sorry.

In minus 20 would this jacket do
It depends what you're wearing underneath, how fast you're moving, the activity you're doing, etc. Unfortunately it's quite a loaded question. Harry
With just a fleece
