Engineered by Kevin Army ay Dangerous Rhythm (R.I.P)
Recorded in four hours on a nice Friday in November '87.
Mixed in two hours on a not as nice Thursday in December '87.
Released on a swell Tuesday or Wednesday in January 1988.
Backing vocals by anyone who was standing around at the time.
Damn!! Listening to this little gem is like stepping into a time machine. 1987-88 was my senior year in high school. I never went to school dance or game. Just shows and skateboarding. No regrets there. This is so fuckin rad. Wait! Stop man.. that wasn't eight clicks man. That was more than eight.
Bought this second hand in Birmingham UK.
One of the most underrated bands out of the east bay. A classic!
The literally didn't know how to play there instruments lol but yah I love these guys
It's very.
It's more Underrated than Sweet Baby.
Amazing piece of punk history.
agreed
People in the comments talking about Green Day instead of the legendary SAMIAM
Funny I saw them with Screw 32. Both bands opened up for Green Day.
how dare people talk about a more relatable band to them!
Probably because Samiam had about 1 and a half good albums before becoming bland.

good bring back to high school
thats a funny name once i gave my church 100 dollars for water wells in africa in december right after christmas our lady of las vegas.
So weird not to hear this on the turn table, after all these years ....
I'm 16 and I love this EP.
My favorite tracks are Rodeo, Two Blocks Away, Eight and Amilyplympt Three.
"Backing vocals by anyone who was standing around at the time"
That`s Democracy right there.
No, that's a healthy, flourishing hardcore punk scene. Gilman St. in the late 80's was the envy of anyone into hardcore at the time. Look at all the legendary bands that came out of the East Bay during those first couple years. Amazing.
The Thing that Ate Floyd ... !!
ha i love this :D they're so hilarious!!! i wish i could've seen them live at Gilman way back when...
Great ep! This is how HC is to sound!
Great Band
thanks for posting this. i lost this with all of my other ep's in a flood.
Two Blocks Away is Isocracy's best song.
I couldn't pick.
Why are people talking about Green Day? Let's talk about this classic piece of hardcore punk from 1988. Great 7". Bay Area had so many classic bands like Crimpshrine, Filth and Op Ivy among others, and this is up there for sure
agreed
Exactly, I’m here in Alaska. I had to order all my records from lookout records. Looong time ago . I definitely loved the bands .
Why? because their drummer was in this band. do you really need it spelled out for you? of course if a massively popular band's drummer is in this band then people will talk about that band. Are you mental or what?
Why don't you find a song by the rolling stone's drummers highschool band and then ask why everyone is talking about the stones. dumbass.
Agreed! Let's add Blatz and the Criminals to that list as well.
Well, if you consider that Kiffmeyer, the drummer, accepted to play in Green Day later... People can talk about Green Day With no problems.
lol The first guy from the right looks like JellO Biafra! Great EP!
It's him. This EP's title is a pun on Bedtime for Democracy by DK
if it was for Martin Brohm on bass i never might have played in San Francisco ! hilarious. you dont need to know them but if you do it does make it different ! im on ly on e juice at 11 34 at night and im singing every word.
this band is pretty god they should have stayed together very raw punk sound
Rodeo is so fucking good.
this is GOLD! i wanna call Isocracy, i have the # on my copy of the ep! (as well as in the song)
Jason from Samiam on vocs.
Wasn't there a song called "War Wagon"?
I think it's on other comp or something.
Their other songs were on Turn It Around.
Wasn’t the drummer of this band the original drummer for Green Day?
John kiffmeyer was the original drummer for Green Day I don't think he played for Iscoracy could be wrong but it was owl Sobrante who play for isocracy
@@jeffreyhaskins5342 John Kiffmeyer is Al Sobrante. John was in Isocracy before he joined Green Day. Al Sobrante was his nickname in Isocracy and Green Day
Here here
I have the STIKKY VIDEO NEW YEARS EVE 1987-they threw all this shit on stage I INTERVIEWED TODD AND CHRIS WILDER
RIP Lenny
@Deadbeatherosuk
Freebird isn't on here. It was inserted on the track listing as a joke. It is impossible to put freebird on a 7" with other songs.
1,00,110!!!
lol they counted longer than me....
The longest number I counted is 1,000 lol
really cuz isn't it only on 7" (45 RPM) vinyl?
i have this ep but where can i find freebird?
The lyrics are in the 7".
u guy should talk bout filth,op ivy, that kinda stuff
@CBiscuit25
You're right, it does...
dude i hate to say this but you gotta know that place or them to make it really come alive they are so funny bro
wheer is thew wikipedia page
So, why did Operation Ivy hate these guys?
Where's Free Bird?
Reminds me a bit of Reagan Youth
I love naïve. that is jello ( bedtime for democracy you know) and free bird is a joke.
See, I'm guessing that, but they do it on every bootleg....
If it wasn't for Green day, not as people would've heard of all these other East Bay bands. I bought kerplunk in '92 at 10 years old and got a lookout records fanzine and cometbus. That's how I discovered op ivy, fifteen, Filth, Blatz, crimpshine, tilt, downfall & rancid. Green days a gateway.. at least, it's not blink 182,sum41 that just turned people onto Vandals and descendants, shitty so Cal shit. Sk8rs shit, hahaha
I heard this band because of Samiam.
@FUNNYDUDEFILMS No joke :)
sure he writes his own lyrics...
Samiam is better than Green Day....
hey could get these sent to me?
in my opinion these guys are better then op ivy
Joseph Muela woah woah woah, no.
@assmunchtv wtf... really...thier ok i wouldent say that though they are both really great bands but i preffer op ivy
pm with email ;D
Join the rodeo! You lead, we follow! I do what I can, but the music's too shallow.
Emo pop? Not at all.
Power pop? Hardly.
They didn't "become a power pop" group in 1997. 1997 was the year where they started experimenting with different styles of music. That's all. Aside from one or two songs like Redundant or Scattered, pretty much all of the rest of Green Day songs can fit rather nicely into the punk genre.
dafuq is isocracy?
That's a load of bullshit. Green Day are not pop, and they haven't lost their way in the slightest. They've always written intelligent poignant lyrics and given astute social commentary on a variety of issues, both current and personal.
Eminem is shit. Green Day fucking rules.
i love green day.
Fuck yea Green Day forever!!!
Stfu crawford you jew
They definitely have now
All the bands on lookout records, the label that’s gone down for good riddace in 2012 suck ass! And they need to lose. They’ve been conceited and they need to lose everything including their freedom!
That's some hater ass shit. Why do you feel that way?
Well, theres the most retarded comment of the day
dude calm down
Isocracy sucks
Green Day's better.
