"grief is a healing emotion" he said. "grieving the loss is somewhat healing."

I wanted the therapist to stop interjecting when the man was discussing himself as a little boy. Sometimes therapists just need to get out of the way of the therapeutic process! It was clear that the initial prompt of asking the little boy into the room with them was an excellent one, and allowed for substantial material to keep emerging.
Some of the re-framing by the therapist was useful, but I wish she would have deepened the direction by asking the man to talk **directly** to the little boy in the room; perhaps that would have allowed for the man to act and say the things that he wished someone would have said to him when he was five, further softening and ultimately transforming his feelings of shame (or abandonment, or ...) Clearly, this would likely have had even a greater impact on the other partner's emotional softening.

If you attend a conference on sistemic work hopefully you would now respect boundaries and be on time and not disturb everyone when late? And with taht I mean the students coming in late and disrupting everyting. No. "Healer heal thouself first"
