    so damn hard
    (next to impossible, actually)
    to focus on this video
    because I'm drowning
    in trauma and stress
and rage and grief and shame,
    and overall emotional pain...
I wish great suffering on those that I loathe.
may they suffer, intense and overwhelming pain...

How about emerging a positive emotion to transform the negative emotion. Anger and sadness are both unpleasant feelings. Focus on love and it will outweigh the others. But before that you will need to aknowledge your feelings and not running away from them. Stay a bit with your feelings, they wont kill you, they will subside gradually. But most importantly be aware of your thoughts during the day. Check and change regularly. Also understant how your thoughts are damaging you, then you get motivated to transform them.

3.08 does that mean that one side of the relationship has to bury its head in the sand so the other can move on?

I Disagree, an Emotion CAN REPLACE ANOTHER EMOTION.
    BY OUTWEIGHTING IT.

I think about colors. If I add yellow to blue, I get green.

I think his description is this - of not replacing emotion but merge new and old to create a new emotion (colour) by blending and transforming.
