Please ask Erik to offer his opinion on the Chinese influence on Papua New Guinea (PNG) and how Australia is trying to counter this. I'm sure Aus and USA share a mutual interest in maintaining a position as the dominant "big brother' figure in PNG given PNG's strategic location.

I'm certainly NOT trying to make ANY excuses for Biden. With that being said, if this diplomacy came after WWII, and has not really been attended since, this sounds like a decades long issue with a LOT of people asleep at the wheel. I don't remember if I posted the Uline penetration tests for ammo here. But if I did, here is an update for the Underwood XT Defender Platinum coated solid copper 9mm Luger +P 68 ammo.
I posted penetration tests using one foot of Uline catalogs stacked in a box. The king of penetration, out of all of the 9mm I tested, was the Underwood XT Defender Platinum coated solid copper 9mm Luger +P 68 grains. Even so, there is an important thing you should know about the fluted solid copper Underwood ammo.
These rounds don't run reliably or even at all in guns that do not have a polished loading ramp. Depending on how the flutes are cut in the bullet, there may be some burrs on the tip. If you don't have a polished loading ramp, the burrs get caught up on the ramp and the gun jams.
I've only had issues with Taurus G3 and G3C's with regards to the Underwood ammo. I've got a lot of G3's and C's as they are my standard, disposable, cheap Katrina gun. This is a gun that won't hurt too much getting taken away in any gov confiscation effort, like they did in Katrina. But the Taurus has a very rough loading ramp. For $240 - $270 you are not going to get the best detailing. The Taurus runs ball ammo fine, but won't run Underwood at all.

What Eric is saying is true. However the US is also building up a lot of the small Pacific Islands too. They are also rebuilding older bases and building new bases in the Philippines mostly concentrated in Northern Luzon. Australia is also a very active partner with the US in protecting the Pacific. Of course South Korea and Japan are very well equipped to assist. Lastly Guam bases and soon to be online Tinian small base. If we could get all of our Allie’s in the region to come to bare along with us we could be a overwhelming force against the Chinese! A force if allowed to fully deploy could kick some China ASS!!!
