- Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian gives the Jackson team a quick look at his latest X Series Signature Scott Ian King V KVXT model, available in a slick new Candy Apple Red finish. “It’s finally available to all of you out there and I’m very, very happy about that,” says Ian, who has often played both a custom and import version of the same colored guitar onstage. “Most importantly, it sounds correct and that’s really all I care about. Looking good is one thing, but if it sounded like crap then it wouldn’t matter. But this thing’s got it all. It looks great and it sounds great.”

About Jackson:
Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

Nothing to do with Ian, but I genuinely love the design of his Jackson V's! Combination of old school and modern , so sick.
I have always liked Jackson and Charvel guitars ever since they put out the Randy Rhoads model in 1983 and the Allen Holdsworth model Charvel!!!☺☺☺ Also back in 1984 when Jackson made that custom made Jackson Soloist for the one and only Legendary Jeff Beck!!! ☺☺😄😃 Those guitars a dream to play!!!!
Hey Scott , I got an import one of these , really digging the guitar , But I'll install a pair of EMG Pick Ups on it .
This dwarf from Middle Earth can afford 1 million dollar guitars because of all the treasure he and his kinsmen found at Mount Erebor.
Lmao
hehe. superb
LOL
Jackson is in my blood!
Same here I love their guitars.
All it needs is a Dimebucker in the bridge \m/
I have the red one and I'm getting ready to get the white one
is it comfortable to play seated or is the randy roads style better for playing seated?
I think the Black one looked the best , followed by the Cream and then the Red . But I ended up byuing the Cream Jackson , because it's the one Scott uses the most and black today is now kinda of cliche for guitar colour ...
is Laurel more expensive then Rosewood?
because the only differences from the X-Series Scott Ian KVXT vs Artist Signature KVXT is the fretboards being Laurel vs Rosewood, the Red Color, and a $100 more for the Artist Signature KVXT.
luv the red one i got. thinking of getting a black one. wish i could get it with a floyd rose.
any chance you`ll be making any with floyd rose tremolos in future?
please make some!
What color is the pickguard on the black one?
Sometimes it looks silver and sometimes white.
Plastic mirrow
Why not just put the JBs in the import versions?
Nomad Music BK Really!?! How much more do you think it would cost them?
@@10000rambos ESP has JB/59 in some of their LTD models for $1100... and that's with locking tuners
Slap some SD Nazgüls in this bad boy and you've got a destroyer axe
Are these available with a Floyd rose?
Hi just purchased one of these, can anyone help with recommending a flight case. People are telling me the Jackson and roads multi fit flight case doesn’t fit x series v guitars?.
Just bought one!
Why is there no Pro version of this one? The USA is a bit expensive and the X is a bit more entry level than what I'm accustomed to (I play most Gibsons) but I would totally buy a Pro level Ian V.
What I'm reading is Duncan designed pick ups are no bueno?
Nah, they sound great but I prefer emgs
Volume knob moved back bout an inch, no?...for aggressive strumming.
For the love of god review the black one
that finish is damn sexy. But why Duncan Designed..............
Sebastian Xu I know right?
Sounds like $700.00 Guitar?👍🏽🎸🤘🏽
Well you can have $200 chinese guitar sounding good. What matters is whether it is build correctly and how good the parts are. Like with Jackson's Indonesian pro series, they are awesome guitars and I don't think anyone would be able to tell them apart from the US models in a blind test.
🤘
Jackson, please make this with the correct size inlays. PLEASE! It looks terrible with the whole fret as an inlay
Duncan Designed? Oh crap.. I have pretty much owned a bunch of them, came stock with my Jacksons, simply not up to par with JB's... They lack definition, note separation on chords and it is much hardet to chug them, not enough balls... Scott is a good salesman though😁
Yeah but the other option for Jackson were their proprietary mostly ceramic pickups and well... well... I really don't have to spell it out do I?
@@juno980 or they could make an effort and put brand name humbuckers on a signature model like almost everyone else. Oh wait... This isn't 2000s Jackson anymore. Pretty much every X series guitar has the off chance of being equipped with these.
I agree completely, Just got one of these guitars and am swapping the bridge with a JB.
1:19 difference between a Good guitar? nice safe
Scott Lan . You are one awesome 🎸 player and you play your lowest price 🎸 that's a 👍 up . I think you are the guitarest two say that WOW That's Cool Scott Lan . Lol TroyFrost / Troyster 😎 CoolRiffs😎 Cool 🎸🤘🤘🤘
Should have made it Pro Series, then it would have proper Duncans.
Boon Doggle I love Jackson’s to death but they confuse me with putting real deal pups in some X series and the cheap versions in other X series
The pickups are really good in these.
No EMG no party
Oh so you are gay?
@@chrisbauman2562 yes of course, and you are homophobic
Has more signature guitars than good albums
another metal guitar, but it will sound better with EMGs or bare knuckle pickups
sfear6 duncon distortion sound better I have a vintage emg select duncons are way better
it is only my opinion, and it always depends on the players style of music and 👂 sound, and also depends on amp that you are using. ✌️
sfear6 true
@@dylanvogel4503 They should have put some active Duncans in them.
paradox of Epicurus that would look nice
Not a fan of the inlays I'm more into the shark inlays
Gibson Flying V copy with Duncan "copy" Design... I pay US$ 1,00.
Looks nothing like a gibson flying v other then the pick guard. The whole v shape is moddified and duncan designed pickups arent half bad.
Don’t use duncan design please, it feels like: pay more mothafucka :V...to have this playing awesome you have to swap the pups
Yeah but the other option for Jackson were their proprietary mostly ceramic pickups and well... well... I really don't have to spell it out do I?
2 of my jacksons have duncan designed pickups, they're sick.
Yep, Duncan Designed are fucking terrible.
//
NOT!
I bet he doesn’t play those shitty ones onstage.
meh
