This is the new for 2020 Limited Edition Friedman Naked MK2 #1 of ?.
100 Watts, EL34, 2,5 Channels of absolute brutality and chest punching power.
This is the second playthru with different mic placement on a Celestion Vintage 30 instead of the previous video's Redback 150 speaker.
This amp is a super limited edition and orders will be taken directly by David Friedman only as he is hand building each one. I would suggest acting fast if you want one.

Mics - Shure SM57 + Mesanovic Model 2 (Ribbon)
I definately love the tightness of Friedman amps tone, it's damn heavy but not dirty at all. For me it's the ultimate guitar tone.

It’s got the squish of the slax but has this dry thing of a VHT going on as well. Very interesting. I definitely dig it. But your custom shop 50(along with the Butterslax)still takes the cake as far as the best thing from Dave, as far as my opinion goes.
I am definitely hearing that tight, punchy, aggressive midrange you get with a Pittbull. Hard to tell without actually playing, but of it really IS combining that tight aggression with more give in how it feels to play....just might be my dream amp! Lol
Yep ....just checked. It has the Stormtroopers of Death tone . Imagine this thing on March of the S.O.D. riff It would CRUSH !

The Naked seems to have the bite of your Custom 50 MK 2 but without the raw bark. It is like a military trained attack dog, whereas the Custom 50 MK 2 sounds more like a feral beast.
yes, this is a good way of looking at it, the Custom 50 doesn't have the girth this has tho.
@@RezaMatix hence collecting amplifiers is never an "either/or"! it is all about the subtleties that each has to offer!

gerald rauch I never really bonded with one yet. a little too high fizz and kind of bright sounding no matter what, maybe it was the one i had but i couldn't get it to chug without sounding too glassy and bright.
i know you can send them in to Mike B at Mesa to get the C+ style mods and some other things to tame the highs and make them better, I'm always open to trying one that's been improved

I’m confused as to the name, MK II. Why are you calling it the Mark II, when there have been three previous incarnations of the Naked? Surely it should be a Naked MK IV, if it was a production run? But it’s not a production run, so it should just be called a custom Naked, right? I don’t get the MK II title at all.
that's ok, you don't have to get everything ;) it's the MK2. Call Friedman, ask him if he wants to call it the Mk4
Nah, that’s alright. I emailed him before about some advice for repairs to my own Naked (a MK III ;-) ) and he didn’t respond, so I really doubt he would respond to the email you suggested I send. Ah well. Such is life.
From one Naked owner to another, I hope you continue to enjoy that amp. They’re quite special.
