My god this guy is all over the place. Formulating a coherent thought, putting it in a way to get your point across would be a good skill to have. A specialty if you are an academic...
I learned about the HEXACO honesty-humility model recently and have been surprised by the delight and reduction of existential angst it's inspired in me. 😄 I immediately thought, "These are my people!" (along with the open and agreeable folk : - ). The fact that researchers believe it's a large enough subset to warrant modifying the Big Five has provided a welcome antidote to my growing despair about humanity in recent years. 🙃 I heard someone say people high in this trait are more likely to speak truth to power about matters of right and wrong, and that resonated. It makes sense that a lack of priority on self-interest and social standing (humility) could allow someone to be honest about uncomfortable yet important truths. Given the historical evidence that humanity seems both broadly prosocial and depressingly susceptible to self-interested bad behavior & tolerance of despots, I wonder if people with this trait may provide an essential counterbalancing function. ❤
When I meet new people, the first thing I like to determine is if they are introverted or extroverted. I find so many probable traits predetermined just by finding that.
Too many questions and theories don't necessarily make for progress. Only a sensing person would explore these concepts so exhaustingly. It is admirable, and most certainly thorough. The intuitive types have the advantage with the concepts, in these cases.
Hi, Darren! I can't really understand what Mr Dutton is saying, not that I would have any idea what y'all are discussing anyway. Mainly just want to say hi❤

You should have seen him on a chat with Richard Grannon, it just about curled my hair! I couldn't believe my eyes and ears 😂

Yes humility & self reflection must be in there
adding: years ago a therapist supported my surprise at the paradoxes in psychology and our life experiences.
