As a Christian couple, the husband is the head, so you do need to figure out why you have discord. If the kids know you disagree, then both of you will end up powerless and disrespected, especially if one parent rescues after the other disciplines. Been there.

so so hard when one thinks one thing and the other thinks the other.
my husband is MUCH MUCH more severe with the children than i am most of the time. he had zero experience with kids coming in, and i had TONS... so im "used to" the chaos and the strangeness... and hes not. and as ive worked through and on my perfectionism and control issues, ive noticed how many of those perfectionism and control issues my husband has... and im of course in a spot now where ive worked past a LOT of things and let go of them... and my husband hasnt. i dont know how to balance this. i dont know how to fix this. ive had a paper around here to actually sit down and write down solid consequences to certain things, and he shows no interest. its frustrating.

As a sign on your Hand- evident in what you do... Your actions... Frontlet between the eyes.... Evident in the way you think... The decisions you make.... loved learning this from pastor Robert Morris Gateway church...

I want to share a little story with y’all.
When my wife and I got engaged she wanted to have the wedding done by a pastor and in the church. As I was not a church person at the time, I told her no and that I want a justice to do the service.
Fast forward a couple months after the wedding, a family friend invited us to church. Decided to go, both me and her, after going for 3 months, I decided to open my heart to the lord and was baptized shortly afterwards.
That was almost 10 years ago and have never looked back. God has been a big part in our marriage and life and now our kids life.
Thank you for this series and the books it’s amazing!

My husband and I have been married for almost four months, and we're trying to get into the habit of reading our Bibles and praying daily as a couple, rather than just individually. This has definitely been a challenge with our differing work schedules and the stress of getting our home settled (which often sparks a lot of bickering and unnecessary arguments), but we want to get that solid foundation laid before we start adding children to our family! We had never really considered reading the Bible out loud just to each other, but we're going to start practicing that together! Thank you!

This is a great reminder. My husband and I do tend to read the word of God when the kids are not around. But We are implementing more reading the word of God daily together as a family. We also do scripture memorization..;)

Thanks for sharing the Luke 6:31 with your kids! I have a 3 year old, 1 year old, and 3 month old - I'm going to start using the verse to help teach my 3 year old how to play nicely with her brother. Having Biblical reasons behind our discipline is such an inportant thing. And thanks, also, for the reminder that our physical Bible actually needs to be read by us (not just on the phone), and be in a prominent place in our home!

This spoke to my heart thank you for this. As a new father I'm always looking for resources to make sure I'm being the man of God and the father I God wants me to be.

Wow !! This video is wonderful!!! I got some great tips and ideas !! Thank u so much. We are a jewish family and yes we have scripture in a little decorative tube on each and every door post, and yet i have never talked about this to my kids ! Ur so right! My kids never see me reading the Bible because I only do it when they are sleeping! , but now that will change, you’ve inspired me so much! May G-d bless you and your family! And in hebrew: שאלוהים יברך אותכם ואת בני משפחתכם !

Thank you for this. My husband and I really need to do this. We don't even read the Bible together. We go to Church and Small group together. But that is all we do together when it comes to learning the Word of God

Another great video! This is so nice on how to get kids involved with the bible! We do not have any kids right now but this makes so much sense! To have the Bible somewhere visible being used. Also to have the kids have one of their own too. Thank you for informing us with reading out loud and reading it from the physical bible and not on our phones :). Always enjoy listening to your videos. Keep up the great Godly work!

Hi, my question is how can I tell if my kids get burnt out sadly? I talk about God and His word all the time but sometimes I get this feeling that they may just want to have a regular conversation. Talking about God is my regular conversation and I believe that's why people including my husband don't like to talk to me. He does Bible study with others than me...

I think you answered your own question inside your question. Have regular conversations also. You'd be surprised how often a regular conversation leads us back to God's Word.

How do you initiate lively and enthusiastic conversations with your partner about our individual time in the book with our partner? I can spend hours in the bible and in conversation but it seems very difficult to consistently engage my partner?
