Would let Alec build a janky red eyes deck! Also- I know you guys don’t usually do constructed games but the speed duel card pool is small enough and nostalgicy enough that I think people would find it interesting. Also, no one seems to do paper constructed games of speed duel on UA-cam :’(

DDM is hella expensive nowadays sadly. Would be awesome to see tho if the team can find it for a good price or print some proxies. I have some DDM stuff and ofc you can play it on Tabletop Simulator too. It's an amazing underappreciated gem!
All the creative ways you guys find to play, like Rare Hunters, makes me wish yugioh had multiple formats like magic. I used to love yugioh as a kid, but it feels so limited and quick now.

ild school yugioh was peak im collecting all sets before synchros were introduced for a yugioh cube this product is a godsend as.long as there arent too many card rules that were changed from the normal game to speed duels...
Just a doubt in Trell's play with the Umi deck: Legendary Ocean lowers the level of all Water monsters by 1, right? Fortress Whale's level was lowered by 1 by Legendary Ocean, dropping from 7 to 6, also the levels of both maiden of the aqua and the fish on his field (which were insect-type at that moment, but still Water attribute) should have been 1 lower (4 to 3 for maiden and 3 to 2 for the fish), making it a total of 5, so by this reasoning he shouldn't have been able to ritual summon, or am I wrong?
I don't play speed duel format but I do have a bunch of 25 card anime decks to do the same thing. I'm almost done with gx decks and I'm gonna start building 5ds decks next.
whether it would've mattered or not I'm not sure...but when Trell summoned Fortress Whale in game 2, technically I don't believe he could've done that, since Fortress Whale's Oath reads tribute monsters whose levels equal 7 or more...but due to Legendary Ocean the monsters he used equaled 5 not seven because it doesn't read ORIGINAL levels in the card text...Yugioh, where you take cards very literally XD love the video as always, love these house tournament videos
Good, so I'm not the only one that noticed that mistake :) Legendary Ocean seems quite anti-synergic with Fortress Whale, since it basically lowers too much the levels of the tributes compared the Whale's level

30:00 Doesn't Slifer's effect state "When Normal Summoned, cards and effects cannot be activated", so Paul wouldn't be able to activate the trap card to destroy it?
It was summoned several turns prior to that. It just means there's effectively no summon response window on it's normal summon, not that your opponent can never activate anything ever again.

Honestly it would’ve been interesting to see the antagonists like weevil/Rex/mako/espa go up against the rare hunters in battle city. There’s no reason the rare hunters wouldn’t target regional champs or players who have been winning throughout the tournament

I love using voltage Kong. I have a lot of light monsters and usually attack with voltage kong and no other monsters unless it's not strong enough and I try to finish my opponent's deck with voltage kong and card destruction
Bros, so hyped for this! Anime had a lot of faults and dumb moments but younger me was so invested in it lol. Always left me wondering how they would win lol. Love yalls videos as always! Adding the boss monster animations in was a nice touch!
I always though it was because they just change the card effect a lot more in early yugioh they still do it now but it just match more or had a weaker version of it anime effect

How about a tag duel of Crystal Beast Structure paired with Cyberdark Structure since they'd work well together with Rainbow Dragon being used for Cyberdark Dragon vs Darkworld paired with the Sacred Beasts decks since they were the fiendish cards used in GX
It's just an alternate way to play that we've been adopting. They actually mention it as an option in the paperwork that comes in the box! Both players use 2 Skills, it makes things more fun.
I watched Duelist Kingdom and Battle City as a kid, loved it. Still got my Anime Decks for the Mainchars of these seasons. Love to play it with the old rules. Nice vid ! Dont like the speed duel format dat much but a nice way to get some old expensive cards for anime decks. Yeah iam a yugiohboomer and proud ^^
I dont have any issues with any of these takes. Hearing the names union carrier, needle fiber, and linkross was scary tho. Maxx C is fine in my opinion, and for tear deck i think the ishizu stuff was the issue. Just overwhelming interactions having 10+ chainlinks on both players turns
You guys did the effect of reactor slime incorrectly. You cannot activate it if you've already special summoned a non divine beast which was reactor slime

Considering this set is called SBC1 it's likely they're saving that for SBC2. SBCB had the LOB DM and BEWD arts available as secrets but since Arkana was part of this it does rather make sense to keep the theme and just provide the deck DM as an alt art option here where BEWD would've been rather useless. I assume 2 will have a Kaiba Reloaded type deck for BEWD to make sense.

I love these tho should have only 1 skill card each. Also Paul missed key thing In weevil deck. Level 7 or higher monsters can attack directly.

Considering this set is called SBC1 it's likely they're saving that for SBC2.
SBCB had the LOB DM and BEWD arts available as secrets but since Arkana was part of this it does rather make sense to keep the theme and just provide the deck DM as an alt art option here where BEWD would've been rather useless. I assume 2 will have a Kaiba Reloaded type deck for BEWD to make sense.

Yep, just having some fun. It's actually an optional game mode that they mention in the official paperwork. We just forgot to mention it in the video.
