The cover was why I picked it up but I was also chatting to the person behind the counter (who I think is also one of the owners) and they were hyping it up too so that sold it to me!
@@GriffReads I recommend 2 short story collections to you: Unclean Jobs for Women and Girls by Alissa Nutting and Bobcat by Rebecca Lee. (I cant wait to go to a bookshop in Edinburgh in Dec.)
Argonaut Books in Leith, The Edinburgh Bookshop, Portobello Bookshop and Tills Bookshop are my favourite bookshops in Edinburgh - all independent bookshops with an amazing range and very knowledgeable staff. Toppings is also great, not Indie but so well stalked and cosy!
I am from Edinburgh and you did get the majority of the big shops - there is Typewronger directly opposite Toppings, and then Portobello Books is slightly further out on the coast but is a lovely shop. There is also a new bookshop called Argonaut in Leith just opened up which I still need to check out!
Oooh I think I came across Portobello books during my research! If the weather had been nicer I would have loved to have gone to the coast ☀️ I can't believe I missed Typewronger 🤦♀️ (but at least I have a good excuse to go back some day!)
I am going to Edinburgh next week I live in Italy so hard to find books in English here I think my budget limit will be how many will fit in my luggage 😂😂😂 I have to go with my suitcase half empty 😂
This reminds me of when I was in Edinburgh and just toured all the bookshops! So lovely!
I remember watching your Edinburgh vlog, I think I actually got some of my bookshop recommendations from you 😁 Thank you 🥰
@@GriffReads Haha, that's great! :D
This looks like the perfect way to spend the day!
Nettle and Bone! I would say it is medium stakes!
Thank you, that's good to know!
This looks like heaven! I so want to go book shopping in Edinburgh!💜💜
Do it!! There were so many incredible bookshops!
Wow love the scenery, you live in a totally awesome city!
Great Haul! I hope you enjoy these!
Thank you!
@@GriffReads. You're Welcome!
this was so cozy and cute. i cannot wait to go there myself =D
Yay! 😄
ooo can't wait to hear your thoughts on January and Nettle & Bone!
I'm planning to do an author taste test video for T Kingfisher because I have a few of their books I want to try!
The Kelly Link cover is brilliant.
