I have a sister in a wheelchair.. she has told me that her wheelchair became an extension of herself and that she sees it almost like her legs. Taking the wheelchair of a paralyzed person is a bully move and a way to exert control over someone and make them feel powerless. This is a deeper issue on the part of the bully. If it makes you feel strong to pick on someone who relies on a chair for mobility you need some serious soul searching.

I love the response from his father at least. He didn't defend his son at all, like we see so many parents often do. Nope. Dad basically said this is not how we raised our family to be. I'm sure his son felt like a moron when he saw the girl who owns the wheelchair. Hits differently when you SEE the person you wronged.

As a star athlete, I’m sure he has a format drafted for such public apologies already, which can be used when caught misbehaving.
Also, zero doubts that he’d face any consequences, as he’s on the sports team.
