The difference between Shoto and Toya is that Shoto had a healthy support system whereas Touya was left completely alone. Without Deku and his other classmates Shoto was on the path of becoming a villain himself. The parallels between Toya and Shoto break my heart.
Those flashbacks with Touya were absolutely heartbreaking. Like, he burned himself up, and the next thing he knew he was several years older and looked completely different and had a different voice. And then he went home, only to realize that his father had essentially just continued on. All of Touya’s fears had essentially come to life. It’s also honestly super sad that Shoto feels the need to carry all of the family’s hardships on his back when none of this should really be his responsibility. Unfortunately, Endeavor spent the last month or so completely neglecting Shoto and Touya, so he’s gonna have to fight All for One now instead, which sucks since Touya seems to really want to talk to him instead of Shoto, and I can’t say I blame him. Still though, I hope that Shoto can get through to Touya in some way. Touya may not want to admit it, bit they’re more alike than he thinks.
7:33 Endeavor is still beyond Touya because Touya self taught himself the moves. The reason the agency sidekicks tanks Hell Spider is because he didn’t master it. Remember, that’s the move that cut sky scrapers into pieces with fine laser like concentration. Nobody there would have been able to tank a true hell spider.
This has nothing to do with the reaction but uf dabi with that form were sent to the fire force world does he would be considered a human with powers like shinra or a monster that they have to eliminate
I honestly do think he killed him cause he dropped more lifelessly rather than just passing out, I think todoroki knew the only way to stop him was to kill him cause his hate was too much 😢
But a punch like that could literally be devastating especially when Dabi was already dying and melting his own skin off, then todoroki sort of freezing him a little bit, I don’t think he can survive
5:04 Endeavor was even worse then than the Toya accident, and Rei wasn't I. The house either, nobody to pull his breaks, allowing him to fully focus on "training" Shoto, which is why he wasn't able to see anything else, and didn't notice Toya was behinds him

Ah, yes, one of the few times I cried in anime. This episode was everything it needed to be.
I was sad too when I read them last year
the music and image of young shoya and young todoroki was so good including the ost.
