@@sirbiakan1527 No worries, its a great movie. I'm plausibly going to be making a second video on it, mostly the soft core world building I pieced together (How the Kingdoms formed and why the dominant ethnic groups are the way they are) cause I am a fucking nerd.
I mean the art is a little hard to get used to but I think this movie is underrated. Its really about no judging a book by its cover and that's actually a good thing since she falls in love with someone you didn't expect she'd fall for
I don’t mind the art style but I think the story’s plot is what weakens the movie. The whole rushed love plots kinda ruined it, if it was developed better this would’ve been good, amazing even. It’s sad it was a wasted opportunity since I love fairytale movies going for a darker look, like Labyrinth and When A Monster Calls.
I actually really like the style because so many child movies make the characters way too colourful and cute when I just wanted something more realistic

A lot of people thought it was messed up for her dad to be supportive of Roland’s make up attempt after he cheated on her but Marianne never told anyone about that the only thing they knew was they just broke up.

And we see that her father wants her to be with someone so badly, she probably didn't want to burden with the fact she was cheated on. (That's probably why she whispers to Roland "You cheated on me, remember?" As she looks around nervously instead of outing him out loud)
