I already watched Bossk's video. Didn't notice that the napsack on the TRU was the same color as the bike! Lol I suppose each one has it's pros & cons. I have plenty of the TRU ones. I'd like several of these new ones too.

Just got one of these half price and super happy with it...I went out and bought another one just to have a carded Scout Trooper and one out of the box.

You need to train your eye a little more. They're not the same mold and I spot that right away.

I'm sure you realise that what you saw filmed there was a spontaneous side by side where initial size shape and indeed aspects of the detail appear identical to the previous.
Please ignore my use of the term mould anyway... it's not correct. I'm talking about aspects of the previous body.

Freeze! Come on, get up!” .... Updated biker scout? Updated bike? One I must have definitely! Yes the visor is still not movie/ prop accurate... On the actual prop, the helmet has a outline over the black lenses. Nevertheless, still about 95% accurate.
No he was called Biker Scout because that's what Kenner called him. Makes sense because it's a guy on a bike scouting around? xD

Yes it did have the hanging flap on the top of the box,it wasn't just a rectangle box lol. I've got a potf2 version, and it looks rather pathetic compared to this one lol. Great video as always 👍

Original vintage Kenner release in 1983 did have a top flap. However, the later Palitoy Tri-Logo release had no top flap.
I got to ID Toys booth just after 1pm on Friday after I came out Lucasfilm Showcase panel - they had quite a few on shelves, I was surprised by how small the box was😮Great review mate 👍👍
The speeder looks great, however as I have a couple prievious speeder bikes so I will probably pass, however I will get the scout trooper if its released single carded, great video as always

It's color is darker and unlike the ToysRUs version you can't move the handle controller arms.

@@OnlyOneKenobi I paid £58 for the bunker too but given the tantive set dropped to around £30 I fear the bunker will also drop to that price. Really hate the FOMO that goes with being a TVC collector 😂

You mean the Vehicle or the AT-ST 'driver' figure? I guess you mean the vehicle and yep it's expensive but relatively competitive ironically with secondary market prices of the previous release 😏👌🏼
they are absolutely not the same mold. As another person mentioned, with respect, train your eyes a little more, to pay attention to detail. Thats not intended as an insult, it will just allow you to be more accurate in your videos.
When something is injection molded, all of the hollows and spaces of the mold are filled with molten plastic, what this means is, the object that comes out of the mold, will be IDENTICAL to the others. Not similar, IDENTICAL, this ensures consistency across the production process.
Enjoyed the video, but yea, details sir.
**The rare exception is whats called a “short shot” meaning there was an error in the molding process and the mold was under or incorrectly filled, but even then, the result is obviously a deformed or damaged piece.
😂🤣 I'd better be careful how I word things... once again, I've used the term 'mould' and it's raised a red flag 🚩 with you again my friend...
I merely meant, on first observation (and I'm sure you appreciate, that was literally my first look) that many features of the previous release seemed to have transfered over to this one. 🙂👌🏼

@@OnlyOneKenobi the bikes are indeed very similar, its been a point of contention as Im sure you know, because the bikes are SO similar, it seems unnecessary to spend part of the tvc’s already limited tooling budget on an item so remarkably similar to the previous version. I think both bikes has pros and cons but none of them warranted (in my opinion) an entirely new mold. I had hoped that Hasbro would have simply modeled only a new segment on the bottom, just to allow for a the new stand to be inserted but unfortunately they spent the money for an entirely new mold top to bottom.
During a Q&A, Chris from Hasbro seemed to suggest that this particular mold and the way the bike is designed is much cheaper to produce than the Toys R’ Us version, however (as Im sure youve heard) there is speculation that they lost the tooling for it. Its definitely a great toy, but, sadly, other than the improved stand design, it also seems like a waste of tooling, Anyway, great review 👍

I should get into 3d printing. I could build in electronics with two buttons. One for operation of the rear door opening and another for a 180 rotation gun turret with sounds.
