Hi girl! I bought a few ctsm from rare earth orchids/ Stephen Moffit and they all arrived pretty desiccated. Roots weren’t growing and a few new growths rotted. I started to place the pots inside red solo cups and that added humidity seemed to have worked and now I have amazing roots! I got a free cyc from SVO that I’m planning on keeping in that solo cup with misting every so often so it doesn’t get crunchy. Hopefully it’ll pull through
That's awesome! I'm glad they pulled through and started pushing out good roots! Hope your Cycnoches pulls through. They are the most difficult Catasetum type I've encountered. Thanks for watching ❤️
Just added Cycnodes Wine Delight… well, thought I was gonna list it then my “Assistant” was strongly opposed to it after googled the bloom…. It is wired to me that Fred didn’t get back to you. When the same thing happened to my MMM (first one) his advice was to keep it dry… but then it still died…. 😭 oh well, I got a replacement this year… all the new hybrids I got from SVO doing well. I don’t know which one is which though… 😅 my assistant’s choices…. I don’t remember what she picked…
We shall see! Next time I'm keeping all the roots on!! It's really not doing anything at all. Miracle if something comes through IMO. The other catasetums are growing nicely thankfully!

They are more difficult than I expected! Good move! The Catasetum proper are easier.

Fred must've been busy that week. It was weird to me also. The other Catasetums look good for me as well, two are spiking! Can't wait to see them.
Ah, sad news about the Brown's Choice. Maybe SVO will be at Tamiami and will have something that interests you.
