I just got a new vacuum and it came with this thing and after one use it was full of hair. I was sitting there pulling at the part where you twist and nothing happened. Then I looked on UA-cam to find this. Super helpful!

I figured it out...there's a tiny, tiny crevice on the attachment roller near where the gear (the part closer to the center of the roller) is that turns the belt. I had to dig out pieces of hair that wrapped around it using a knife. You can maybe try dental floss if you don't want to risk drawing blood, like I did. After I cleaned it out, I lubricated it and it worked like a charm!

I had to do it to mine again today. It might work for fur, but human hair keeps the wheel from spinning.

You are the winner! The brush stopped working on day one. I had hardly any hair in the end piece so was unsure how on earth it was "clogged". Lubed it up and it works!

For those needing more assistance, pull out the gray spinning piece. Look closely next to the part where it attaches to the belt. There is a little crack between the gray piece and where belt attaches. It likely has hair wrapped around it. I cleared it and sprayed WD40 on it and it worked great!
Well, this will probably work if I ever figure out how to get the tool off of the vacuum cleaner body!!

Hey, Bissell... your video is misleading. Its not "Easy" to turn the Grey collar counter-clockwise... unless you first flip it over and turn the collar while pushing down slightly on the recessed black "tab" area that looks like a screw driver might fit into there. Please include all the steps in your videos, even the ones that might cause damage if a person were over zealous with the screw diver. Less irritating and saves time for the person trying to do the repair. Thanks.
Best way to fix this if its binding up and the wheel doesnt spin freely:
Take some bent end tweezers, shim below the black splined part of the grey windwheel, pull up and seperate the black wheel away from the grey windwheel. Clean the bearing and use some grease. re-assemble.
The little gray wheel has to in just a certain way because it has notched flat things on the side. It doesn't just slide in any which way. That's the hardest part so no, this video wasn't helpful

I did everything and still doesnt work. So disappointed as i only had this for a few months and it worked when i intially got it and worked on my carpeted stairs
Never had much use for this attachment. The roller turns as long as it's not touching any surface. Once I try using it on something, the brush stops turning. It's not even dirty; hasn't gotten any use because it hasn't worked since the day I bought the vacuum. Tried calling the 1-800 number but wait was too long. "Higher call volume than usual".

there is a notch and a flat end to where you put the turbine into the slot this video does not make it so clear where that is to face, down, sideways or up there is a slot in the lower housing but the turbine doesn't spin when i do as instructed here. just sucks through the vac hose. WTF

Why is my pet turbo eraser not turning
it works for a while ....and then I spend more time cleaning this (just to make it work at all) than I do vacuuming :(
a plain old steel-toothed rake does better than this sorry contraption.
Please demonstrate the pet hair eraser tool that comes with the bissel model 2260.

@@arlene4299 You're very welcome. I have to admit once I got it off, it wasn't what I expected! Not an actual "brush" that fur gets Tangled up In. I think I was expecting something like upholstery brushes :-) good luck!
The assembly is correct but it still won't spin. I have suction. What else could it be? It's not even a year old.

Yes - for the Pet Hair Eraser, the tool attaches to the tool holder on the side of the vacuum.
Does anyone know how to attach and make the turbo eraser work?

This attachment is a joke. I just use a regular brush attachment.

Pretty much useless, there was nothing stopping it from turning , now it will not go back together!
