@@izzimichaels2892 Yes, it was actually just some of the mixed epoxy. I mixed it in a separate container and brushed it on to seal the wood to prevent a lot of movement. While the rest cured

I like using Odie's oil but I actually used a car wax finish on the epoxy for the glossy look

If you built the mold right and had it sealed right you wouldn't have to go through all those extra steps seems like to me it's a waste of time
There's no rule against trying different ways. You can do whatever you like in your shop.
